CRF250L Big Gun Exhaust Sounds and Install Guide

I have since trimmed down the goofy looking extension pipe flush with the Big Gun end cap, and beveled the outside edge. Looks nicer, and did not change the sound. Looks like a factory insert now.

It's the same as before. Most people lose mpg . . .because it's loud and they ride it harder. My 2012 Concours had a slip on, and did not change the mpg either.

the first clip after the stock sound was the best in my opinion, nice and deep sound.. otherwise I'd keep it stock. Did you have to program after you installed the exhaust?

Do you have a picture of the front header spring on or did you use them?

I don't know what you mean by exhaust pot, but the big gun header only fits the big gun muffler, and the big gun muffler only fits the big gun header. You can't mix factory parts with big gun parts, you need the whole system.

I've never used a tuner on anything, and you really don't need to. I'm working on brackets for that, it is not possible to put the factory head shield on this can. Subscribe and you'll get the video when I come up with them (I'll sell them on eBay)

No, I did not reprogram the fuel injection. I have had aftermarket exhaust on all my motorcycles and never reprogrammed the fuel injection. This seems to be a common misconception due to rejetting carburetors for aftermarket exhaust (which you need to do). The computer will automatically adjust for aftermarket exhaust on nearly any bike with an oxygen sensor. If you want to reprogram it for more horsepower, that is possible, but you won't see any sizable increase on a small motor like this.

Yo man, sweet video, i just ordered a Big Gun aswell, but on my DRZ400, i hope it sounds similar to your sound. Have you got any videos of your bike with the BG exhaust on going up the street so you can hear what it sounds like instead of just idle revs, i would love to hear that! Only if I ride it harder than normal. That's a common misconception about aftermarket exhaust. If you don't change the computer, it won't change the fuel map.

With this exhaust did you use the EJK Electronic Fuel Control Module? and can you still use the white side panel to go over the exhaust like the FMF just no the old black heat shield?

oh right right, it will always have the same fuel to air ratio unless you change it (program it). How much did this exhaust cost (Specifically the set up right after the stock clip)? is this a slip on or full exhaust?

I prefer to drop fragile, painted, and expensive parts. Good strength test.

The Megabomb header looks like you stuck a pipe haphazardly into a football. The lines just don't look very good. Also, the big gun header lets you reuse the stock heat shield. The FMF pipe does let you reuse the factory heat shield/number plate, but I can weld and will be making brackets for the Big Gun.

I bought this and the midpipe was huge, no way it will fit the stock head pipe, and zero information warning me about this.

Yep, they got you too. Only fits their header, or you have to have someone build you an adapter

Check out my other videos. I already did a video on how to put the side skirt on. This exhaust is total junk. Save your money for a FMF exhaust if you have to have a loud exhaust. Also check out my other videos for FMF information.

Definite performance increase, weighs about 10 lbs less, and I never figure out fuel efficiency so not sure on that.

Actually, mild steel sheet metal, stainless steel, and platinum. (Just a little bit of it anyway)

Well I ordered the eco version of this and I am not well pleased. Contrary to what people in many places on the web are saying, it does NOT fit the stock header, and I will Not be spending another 200 bucks to buy their crappy header. The Yoshimura or FMF systems are probably way better quality. False advert if you ask me, since even their own websites say it fits the stock bike and say NOTHING about ordering their header.... scam.
