Full ridge including clips of the approach to Crib.
Pinnacles video separately.
Some tips for Crib Goch.
Check the weather, in winter leave for the experienced! More than 30mph winds is dangerous!
Be prepared, bring the right clothing and equipment.

Very impressed with your lady friend, she is fearless! It looks very scary, I have no head for heights so best I don't risk a difficult route like Crib Goch! Marvellous scenery and stunning views on a beautiful day. Thanks for posting.

@clogsonthemountain No. I've done Tryfan, and Sharp Edge (much shorter), but I don't feel the need to 'prove' something to myself about Crib Goch.

Would have been better if not filmed on a gopro. Gives a warped perspective and always makes it look steeper. And I particularly wanted to see how you get around all 3 pinnacles. I know one of the pinnacles it's best to go down, around and back up.
@clogsonthemountain
@clogsonthemountain Жыл бұрын
Have another video on the pinnacles if you're interested. Cameras always make things look worse than it is however not a route to be underestimated 👍

@MiklRbrts 6 ай бұрын
Quite. It would put a lot of people off. Whilst the ridge is tremendously impressive and a fairly serious undertaking, particularly for the inexperienced, (I have done it three times, many years ago) from the completely unrealistic distortion of the fisheye lens here, you would think that one slip would mean instant death. Certainly care and common sense is needed, and a clumsy slip might mean you could hurt yourself, but there is no way you would go bouncing down what is made to appear here to be a near vertical slope. Anyone thinking of attempting this wonderful ridge should look at a few other videos to get a more realistic perspective.
@RichardMathews-gv7lb
@RichardMathews-gv7lb 3 ай бұрын
@@MiklRbrtsif you went off the east face that is pretty certain death. The west face whilst nowhere near vertical would be pretty gruesome if a stumble turned into an uncontrolled cart wheel and you would be pretty fortunate to escape life changing injuries if not death. Have done the ridge many times in all conditions including tip toeing over it in crampons on a short rope with hand coils in pristine winter conditions where the option of lobbing off one side of the ridge if the other person fell was the go to strategy

@heatherholden5473 13 сағат бұрын
@@MiklRbrts I am weighing up whether or not to do Crib Goch and the videos are putting me off as the drops down to the left look near vertical. So, are you saying it's not quite as steep in reality?
