I love Wales. I'd recommend Bala lake if you're into paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming etc. Also Barmouth not too far from Bala for it's cute town and beach.

Are there bus routes to all these towns or would I have to rent a vehicle , great informative video by the way!
@AlexTravels12 ай бұрын
Certainly there are buses to the larger towns and more popular locations, but some of the other spots that are a little off the beaten track will likely only be accessible by car (or a bit of a walk). Thank you for watching and I'm glad you found the video helpful!

Hello! Good movie and beautiful nature and area! I have a question. What is the best month to hike in Snowdonia. I think about trip to Wales in particular Snowdonia. Greetings from Poland!
@AlexTravels16 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed! In terms of the weather, it's the warmest and there is much less chance it will rain in June-August, it rains a lot there (but I think that adds to the atmosphere sometimes!). December-February you're likely to find snow but only on the tops of the mountains. In terms of how busy it is, June-August is very busy. So I would suggest any time from March-June, or potentially even better, September is my personal favourite time to visit as it tends to be drier, warmer, but less busy! Hope that helps

@AlexTravels1 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed! That's a tough question as I visited these sites over the span of a few different trips, I think you could see a good chunk of these locations in around 1-2 weeks in North Wales!

Thank you for this comprehensive and short video. Is October 1-10th still good for hiking there? How many rainy days are expected in this period as a rough estimate? And is it feasible by public transit from betws-y-coed as focal point?
@AlexTravels14 ай бұрын
I often find that the weather is so unpredictable (especially around Snowdonia). I did visit last year around the end of September and it was nice and sunny. It would be much quieter in October than in the summer and based on my experience, the weather would still be nice enough for hiking! In terms of public transport, Bewts-y-Coed should be quite well connected, being one of the main villages in that area. Hope that helps and enjoy your trip!!

It would have been great to have some of the native Welsh names in there such as Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Eryri (Snowdonia), Rhaeadr Ewynnol (Swallow Falls). Looks like you had a great time, amazing scenery, culture and people.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be sure to work on improving my Welsh pronunciation and include some of the Welsh names for these places in the future. Thanks for watching the video!

Is there public transport for these locations brother ?
@AlexTravels14 ай бұрын
I believe there is public transport connecting the main towns, villages, and attractions. But some of the more obscure places you may have difficulty getting to on the bus

Almost didn't post this comment as I don't want to be *that* person, but here goes anyway... Great video, but *please* google how to pronounce the places you visit, made me wince more than once :) For example, your "Betsy Co-ed" is pronounced "Bet us a coy-d", your "Lan-dud-no" should be "Llan-did-no" (admittedly the 'll' can be awkward), similarly both 'll's in Llangollen. Apart from that, really good guide :)
@sallygard636 ай бұрын
That was so petty 😢… I mean this guy has tried hard and has been so helpful … so there’s really no need to go on at him about his pronunciation 🤦♀️
@twincamspit6 ай бұрын
@@sallygard63 As I said, it's a great video. Much better than I could have made. I'm just pointing out that he could have researched how to pronounce the place names properly, as it's one thing many Welsh *HATE* about visitors butchering their place names. Petty perhaps, that's why I nearly didn't make the comment; but better that people are aware rather than copying his pronunciation. Hope you have a good tour of Wales and appreciate the beauty.
