Sarfraz's 150 was a fluke like Pope's 196 in Hyderabad.He was very lucky to score than many that day. Sarfraz has plenty of technical deficiencies. He'll get found out. Gill also, has a tendency to want to play everything to the leg side. Expect lots of leading edges to come from him. Kohli's done. He has 2 massive technical problems. He should be dropped. R Sharma also has technical problem. Gets opened up way too easily because he doesn't seem to cover the line well enough against seamers. Ashwin is a club-level bowler when the pitch is not a snake-pit.

@@seshasaisrivatsav His batting is actually quite good. He could easily take Kohli's place as a batter. But on undoctored pitches, as a bowler he is ordinary. Averages 43 in Aus and 50 in SA, with the ball. So ordinary is he, that they don't play him in most of the matches in SENA countries.

Australia started their preparation a month before now, even if it's their home soil. Then also they are playing their first class cricket. Meanwhile our cricketers were thinking about the IPL retention. They were thinking about the prize money. This tells the story... Let them pack their bags for diwali long vacation and give a send off with due respect. What's the BCCI doing? Do the Senior player keep BCCI in their pocket? Have they become more than a BCCI and cricket? Some really serious discussion on the table. We praised BCCI when they gave an exit and cancelled the contract of ishaan kishan and iyer but, has it become only to some bunny players? Are we doing partiality and are biased towards senior players? Some kohli fans, rohit fans, pant fans will come and argue.. Seriously!!!! I think no player has become as bigger as sachin, sehwaag, gambhir, kumble, harbhajan, zaheer, dravid, ganguly, laxman and pragyan ojha.. But have not retired.. A time has come to look in to this.. Think India are done. Losses are a part and parcel in cricket, but to lose at home to an innocuous New Zealand side is an indication that India's Test batting prowess that has been on the vane has hit rock bottom. The test team needs players that are technically sound and can also attack. Not players who just want to throw there wickets away in the name of intent. Rohit has to go now, his age is catching up to him and the moving ball is starting to trouble him a lot more. Kohli too needs domestic practice as his form has also been on the vane. The middle order also needs a revamp. India needs to make sweeping changes and need to make it soon if they want to stand a chance in Australia.

In Manchester during the WC semi-final (sure it was ODI yet were some parallels): - Matt Henry - Rain & dark clouds making it a 2day game - In that match India's top 3 scored 1..1..1 (their 3 best KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli). -India still almost won this game on the back of *MS Dhoni & Jadeja's* counterattacking innings. Very similar to Pant & Sarfaraz. The Pune test really got me by surprise! This series victory plays even deeper into NZ hands, as India now will have to really destroy Australia in their upcoming tour. India did it before & can do it again. Thus knocking Aus out of 2nd place final spot. Hopefully, NZ can tame the wounded England lion & meet India in a *rematch final* for the mace. That would be epic!

How would have our present Test batters fared against our famous spin quartet of Bedi, Chandra, Pras and Venkat. Our legendary batsmen played spin exceptionally well. Sunil Gavaskar's batting against the top quality spinners of Pakistan in Bangalore Test where in he defended resolutely and scored 90+ was batting display of the highest order.

Pant is himself a lottery nowadays. Its like he has a train to catch or something, is just in too much hurry. You dont want him to be your captain, captain needs to play a captain's knock, not just gift your wicket away playing t20 shots in test cricket. Indian selectors are keeping trust in Pant for now, but if this continues like it is (throwing wickets away), there are wicket keepers like Jurel who can take Pant's position.

Grass is always greener on the other side. KL Rahul failed to cement his place, wasnt he the batsman who was dropped from the last test bcoz he could not get a score above 10. I can understand you are using the great name of Pujara but dont mix Pujara with mediocre batsmen like KL Rahul (avg 34) or Rahane (avg 38). There is a reason why they are not in the team, they dont have it in them. However, good luck to KL Rahul for Aus tour, the selectors have chosen him in the squad.

He technique does not augur well for Australian pitches, dont be surprised if Sarfaraz goes to Aus with an avg of 46 but returns home with an average of 20. LOL :)

If he plays 10 matches, then his average would start showing the true quality of that player. I do not think Sarfaraz is the guy India should play, he is going to struggle given his flaws in his technique specially in bouncy conditions or spinning conditions.
