To kids now who are watching Rohit and Kohli struggle against ordinary spin bowlers, there was a time when even Nayan Mongia used to smash Shane warne. When Shane or Murali were bowling I used to switch off TV cos I knew there wont be collapse. Only fear was Murali on a rank turner in SL. Otherwise we handled all of them well
@bluechampx8 ай бұрын
Rohit or Kohli do not struggle against ordinary spin bowlers. Anything but. It's the pressure of accelerating at over 10 an over is why they may get out to spinners in IPL. In tests and ODIs, Rohit and Kohli have been dominating spinners like no one's business. If Nayan Mongia had played Shane Warne in IPL, it would have been a horrible experience for Mongia.
@aham-gyanarthi-asmi8 ай бұрын
@@bluechampx Nope. Kohli is getting out to normal offspin of Moeen Ali and more importantly ROhit and others have been getitng out to ordinary left arm spinners like Hartley, Ejaz patel. All this never used to happen in 90s, 2000s. Daniel Vettori who was far better than all of these bowlers was hunted by India. I dont care for T20. Am talking about Tests and ODIs.

@@aham-gyanarthi-asmi In tests and ODIs, both Rohit and Kohli have excellent average against spinners. No idea what you're talking about.
@aham-gyanarthi-asmi8 ай бұрын
@@bluechampx looks like you have not watched Tests often. Kohli down started with Moeen ali and he keeps getting dismissed to left armers. All these are very popular facts. Rohit was dismissed by Ezaj patel, hartley etc. Also these bowlers are not even 10% the quality of Shane or Murali
@bluechampx8 ай бұрын
@@aham-gyanarthi-asmi I think you should watch more cricket. Getting out is not the same as struggling against low quality bowlers. The lower the quality of bowlers the more complacent the higher quality batsman become. 'Struggling' is the word you used. If you follow cricket, you wouldn't say Rohit or Kohli struggle against these bowlers.
