How much heart wood do you expect in players edition willow ? Recently paid 440 but there is good heart wood in the face

I have a new special reserve bat with 7 grains on it.Does that mean it will not perform well immediately but after sometime and also the width of the blade is less does that mean it will not be good for long shots?
