Here is my review of a Laver and Wood PP01 Signature sent in by Hope from Wollongong. Purchased for his birthday it's a custom made bat requested in 2'10 cane handle in pp01/thicker special profile.
To directly quote from the website:
www.laverwood.com/
"Signature represents some of the rarest and finest (top 1%) of the Grade 1 English willow available.
A Signature blade will have 7 or more good, straight, and even grains with very minor blemishes in the playing area and sometimes contain colour (heartwood) on one side. These bats simply look beautiful and in the 22 years since 1999, when L&W was established in New Zealand, James has only made 380 of these blades. Each Signature is made and tested personally by James. We have a unique pressing system that is more traditional and tends to give the bat a longer than average life whilst still holding a good performance."
"PP01
This is the modern day players profile, offering a forgiving hitting zone with a substantial toe with a slight duckbill shape to balance the bat nicely in your hands. This is based on a profile the majority of professional cricketers are currently using.
The pressing offers large and sligtly rounded edges throughout the blade with a slight duck bill toe to promote a vastly superior pick up.
Weights start at 2lb 8oz (1130g) and go through to 3lbs (1360g). This bat is very well suited to all playing conditions where you need the power to hit over the top but also need good bat speed for the technical shots and good toe strength."

I do this as a hobby and I do not make any money doing this or get paid to create the videos. So owners of the bats cover the return freight costs of bats sent in and I do not always accept a bat for a variety of reasons and do not run a bat knocking service as the time it takes to create content is considerable.
