Trust me this drill really works ...I am more dominant leg side player and I could see now why is that. Thanks for explaining it with such a ease. I have started doing this drill and could feel the difference in the power I can generate while playing drives.

barad pushpajit Hi Barad , you are clearly playing the ball in front of your body . That is allowing your bottom hand to come through and causing the ball to go up in the air . Please check my cover drive video , where I am talking about keeping your left shoulder aligned towards the ball till the last second . This allows you to play the ball late and stops the problem you are having . Please check the video.

Sir.. In Australia coaches ask young batters to place a squash ball inside their right hand for right handers and the opposite for lefties. This forces the batters to hold their bat with thumb and index finger . Even adam Gilchrist demonstrated the effect of this technique in a world cup final. My question is this a right way. Have seen kids pushing coins , half squash ball,inside their bottom hand gloves....

Sanjay J Sanjay the reason I don’t use gloves is to show the grip properly to the viewers . If I wear a gloves then the hands on the bat handle won’t be exposed and hence the viewers won’t be able to see them
