Cricut Card Mat 2x2 with Cricut Explore Tutorial

The new Cricut card mat can be used with the Cricut Explore family and Cricut Maker line of machines to make homemade cards and up to four at a time.

Card Sizes:
R10 = 3.5 inch x 4.9 inch (R stands for Rectangle card)
R20 = 4.25 in x 5.5 in
R30 = 4.5 in x 6.25 in
R40 = 4.75 x 6.625 in
S40 = 4.75 x 4.75 in (S stands for Square card)
**Images need to be 0.25 smaller on both sides

Are these insert cards not available to the Explore Air as I cannot get any of the many cards you showed. It said that you have about 11,600 images I am only getting about 9,00 mostly not insert starts with the corner cuts and then very few actual insert ones nothing like yours.

Hi, I loved your video tutorial on using the card feature!I haven’t done much crafting in a while, too long actually. Anyways, seeing how I’m so out of the loop, my question is, does it matter which Cricut you can use for the card features? I have a lot of different machines, the last one was the Cricut Maker, the original one, would I be able to use it with the card features? Sometimes they are hard to find! I had to scroll a lot to find it! You can add christmas insert cards in the search bar

When I click images, then type insert cards, I don't get anything that looks like what you're showing. It starts off with a bunch of corner cuts, then goes to a myriad of shapes, etc. I have 7.13.105 and I'm wondering if things changed so drastically in the latest update, but truthfully I've never seen what you're showing even before the update. Can you help?

That is so weird! When I search insert cards, I still get all the front of cards. Are you on a tablet or iPad? I'm on a PC so I'm wondering if a tablet would bring up different things, which would still be odd!

@@LeapofFaithCrafting I'm on a PC, and it still confuses the daylights out of me that some people show completely different screens than what I get, and I have Access. oh, well, just another Cricut glitch. Thanks anyway.

Yeah me neither. This really isn't fair. I have cricut access but it's very difficult for me to find card designs. The basic corner cuts come up first then a whole load of random stuff. Some of it cards but not necessarily insert just all types come up with the search for "insert cards" and then a lot of non relevant stuff. I've tried the card filter too to no avail. I love a couple of the card designs you used, butterfly and flowers (raised butterfly) I can't find them

I have been dealing with this for over a year now, the same as everyone else. Been on the phone with Cricut customer support and they could not figure out why several KZbin users get about 2K more images than I was getting. When I followed along, they were getting images for insert cards that I could not get and I paid for an annual Cricut Access subscription. I tried on my iPad, iPhone and PC and they also had me delete the app and reinstall it. And this was the same no matter what machine I selected, Explore, Maker or Joy

Hi, when i follow along with you i seem to get different images and it also says on yours 'Granted' not subscribed - what does granted mean? can you help please - thank you 😊

I think you hit the nail on the head. Maybe KZbinrs are granted certain images that regular subscribers don't get because I don't have that option.

I am having trouble with my Cricut catching the mat after it is done using the pen. It unfortunately did not do 8 of my cards correctly. Anyway to restart the cricut where it left off when that happens?

Oh no! That sounds annoying! You can pause the Cricut with the pause button and then restart after you remove the pen. It won't go back and redo anything from before though. I wish there was an easy way!
