Thank you for this video. I just got my new card mat and it will be my first time making cutaway cards. I’ve done the other type with the joy and sometimes removing the different pieces of paper or card gets a little messy. This looks great!

On the cut-away cards, it's already applied from Cricut

I'm having a helluva time with my cutaway cards. Its not cutting all the way through on the cutaway/backer setting and when I try to use the weeder its just shredding the cardstock and damaging the letters and the backer. Any advice? I'm soooo tired of wasting material. :(

On another site she used cardstock for intricate cuts. Mine worked great.

Have you tried using more pressure? I'm not sure, I haven't had that problem yet (thankfully) - I'm sorry you're dealing with it, that's so frustrating!

You didn't mention material settings you used. I've tried a few combos and nothing worked. It did not cut through the top paper at all. I used a new blade. Would like to know what you used. I have the Maker3. Thanks.

In the video I did show that I am selecting the Cutaway Card + Backer material setting at about 5:40 in the video. Hope this helps!
