I used to draw, make diy cards, anything that has to do with color pens and pretty card stocks. Then marriage and motherhood happened, I set my passion aside in order to prioritize my family. Now, I'm planning on doing it sgain, 23 yrs later. While I'm still saving and planning what type of die cutting machine and the different kinds of supplies and rools should I buy, I'm familiarizing myself or preparing myself by watching your videos. Thank you for sharing your passion thru your videos. A fan from the Philippines.

How do we emboss 13” items with extended plates A or maybe it’s C and 2 B’s to emboss? Most importantly Where do we get embossing folders for the extended 13” Plates. I don’t use the Cuttlebug to die-cut, im addicted to Embossing with Embossing Folders but don’t know where to buy 13” embossing folders or if they even exist ? Any info will be most appreciated! Thank you 😊 love your videos!

This is so helpful and easy to understand. I like how practical you are and am a new subscriber to your channel. I have the electric die cutters and a Cuttlebug. I'm just starting to use it for small quick projects without the fuss. Love the background die with the vinyl sheet and found the name of the die in one of your replies below. It's too bad that the handy dandy Cuttlebug is discontinued. However, it will continue to be loved by us crafters.

ahhhh! Isn’t it supposed to be facing up... so the top B plate is the one getting all cut up - while keeping the bottom B as clean as can be...? And then finally when the top B plate is no longer functional.... switch up your B plates by rotating the bottom “B” plate - to use as now your “Cut-Up” Top B plate - and introduce a brand new B plate to replace the “Clean” Bottom “B” plate? I mean , I could be wrong. Or perhaps there are several other ways and techniques people tend to use. I get it’s more of a personal preference thing... but I personally Choose to utilize my B plates the way I described above in order to preserve its use/functionality and life expectancy (? Lol dunno how else to describe it at this moment) but continue the pattern and rotation of switching up the B plates when needed . I noticed using certain card stock - especially super shiny or foiled cardstock - its a super FAIL (!!!!!) when using a super cut up B plate.... as EVERY SINGLE CUT (no exaggeration) is instantly mirrored and cut and engraved and literally embossed on to the shiny/foiled material you have pressed up against your cut up B plate - or either B plate that has any visible cuts and marks . Unfortunately learned the hard way. Sorry for long comment ! Was not expecting this whatsoever - I assure you! Just wanted to say THANKs for your video + info! It’s been over a year almost since I received my cuttlebug .... first and only manual die-cutting machine .... and one thing for certain is.... I specifically remember watching this video right here as one of my first five videos I’ve watched while researching wtf to do with this foreign strange alien contraption in front of me - so you definitely gave me a better understanding! Funny that I landed on it all these moths later! Thanks again!!!! Xoxo 😘

where does one buy the Cuttlebug stencils? and if you buy the Cricut maker, does it come with an embossing functionality such that you will not need the Cuttlebug?
@YouCanTotallyMakeThat5 жыл бұрын
You can get cuttlebug supplies on Cricut.com and yes the Cricut maker and the Cricut air machines have the option for embossing. The cuttlebug is nice if you want to make a quick project without needing the internet :) hope this helps

When you are doing cuts I thought we used the C plate and B is just for embossing. Am I wrong?
@ashleyien1222 Жыл бұрын
I think because she has the magnetic plate it makes up the difference in thickness so you use the B instead of the C. I don't have the magnetic plate and was wondering how to get the dies not to move on me. Maybe painter's tape would solve that and the magnetic plate isn't needed.
