Thank you for actually showing the cut and draw process on your machine! This was very helpful. When will Cricut make a thick marker for the machine for the fonts? It has not made sense to me since I got my machine that it will only outline most fonts when I want a thick color of type.

Since the machine is meant to cut around letters, the pen only knows how to draw where the cut lines would be. Hopefully at some point it will be added! It will be so nice to have, I agree!

Do you have to have cricut access to get a writing font? To change in STYLE writing will not show up.

Have you had a hard time finding script style writing that ISN'T just outlined? What fonts do you use from DaFont that wont be outlined? I'm so confused, but you've solve half of my issues :)

Yes, script fonts are hard to find that are sketched in. I actually don't think I have found one. I'll let you know if I do!

You can change the little color box next to the drop-down menu when you select "draw" and it will draw in the full font, not just the outline.

At the top left corner where it says "linetype" and "fill". Go to fill and click print, it will print out the text for you instead of actually having to draw it.

When I attach and try to make it, it wants to print and cut, it won't allow me to write the font with my pens.

My problem is that the print and cut sets and when I go to print it stays in limbo and won't print! I have tried everything..only when I shut it down will it then print? It was working fine then critcut updated and now it won't print and cut anymore? What do I do? Help!!!

This was so helpful! I"m about to take the leap, hoping for a great Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale on the Maker and various supplies. Seeing how it actually works in action is gelling it in my head so I can get a good supply list ready for The Day. Really good explanations and editing! (Also, I love your crafter's nails! My polish does the same thing, usually within one day! It happens when you use your fingers regularly for stuff like this, no matter how good your polish! It's my badge of crafting honor. LOL)

That is a good question! There is label vinyl that is great for writing on since it doesn't smudge off. I would think most ink on vinyl would rub off, but I haven't tried it honestly!

The cursive one is a writing font from within Cricut Design Space.

You'd have to search for a cursive sketch font. There might be some out there!

Just a funny note. While watching the video I looked at the bottom of my screen to see what time it was. And I'm thinking 10:49 am ? Have I been on the computer that long? So I look at my phone and it's like 8:48 am. So I look again at the time on my computer and I noticed the date was 1-22-19 and I realized I was looking at your computer date and time. Just thought I would share that.

Yes!! In CDS, you can specify when pen you use in the upper left hand corner. Then when it's writing, it will prompt you to use insert the next pen. I'll add it to my list of tutorials to make!

Finally, but there are steps you have to take that aren't in this video. It was probably a Cricut update. I love what my Cricut can make, but I hate actually using it. So complicated. A company could make a decent machine with simplified processes and make a fortune.
