FYI I saw a place where they used a tongue depressor that the person put under a non cricut pen as a measure , also for wider pens the took out the sleeve in A and put hair elastic around pen and then closed clamp and that held the marker in very nicely and worked well in machine

If you have a look on ebay there are people selling 3D printed adaptors for a couple of dollars to make pretty much any popular pen/marker fit perfectly with no fuss. I've got one for my Frixion pens which I use to add marks that can be removed with the iron later. If you have access to a 3D printer the files for various adaptors are available for free on sites like thingiverse.

You can definitely use fine tip Sharpies. Yiu just have to remove the center piece in Clamp A and add a pencil grip to your sharpie.

You need to remove it for the foiling, but not the pens. Once you start on a project, the Cricut will tell you which blades/tools to use where :)

I tried the single Cricut pen that came with the Maker and it did a terrible job on vinyl. I bought some adapters from Etsy for Sharpies (fine and ultra fine) and found them to be far superior. The 'fine' is way too thick for smaller text, but would be good to accentuate artwork. I would be interested in some thicker and thinner options if anyone has some suggestions (in addition to Crayola)

I absolutely love how vibrant the Crayola markers are. My issue I am having is for some of the more intricate designs and wording, it bleeds through and fills in the spaces. I have the fine tip and have tried adjusting how far down the markers go. Anyone else have the same issue?

I use to collect every.single.type.of.crayon.made.ever.as.a.kid... and every marker as well. I believe around school and Christmas they have a set with like 50 colors at Walmart for like $20-25 or something. I almost bought them for my son. Look for them at Walmart. Roseart are the same size as the crayola (I'm sure the same packaging), so, that might improve your range in colors as well, and I"m pretty sure Crayola even has glitter markers in the same format.

Oh no!!! Sorry to hear that friend! Did you force it in there? If you did, odds are you probably shouldn't have used it. If not, and it's just stuck, examine the clamp well. See if the clamp insert is broken or if the plastic looks strained. Try pushing from the bottom instead of pulling from the top. Hope this helps!

You need to use a font that has a ‘Writing Style’.

It doesn’t fill it in, it just writes it - no outline. To make it thicker you need a pen with a fatter tip......or one that is getting worn out so the tip is no longer nice and sharp.......or push it down into the pen holder a hair further.
