Here is a Design Space project I have created which contains alot of ready to go split pop ups which just need adding to your Letter, Word or image.

I love creating 3D Split Pop up cards and frame images. Once you have created your pop up images you can use them time and time again. It seems daunting but I promise once you get the hang of it, it becomes easy. Using Images that have a border layer makes this process so much easier and quicker.

Could you just offset a shape rather than look for butterfly with a border?
