Such a sad story. I'm glad that Troy found love again. You can just tell that he is a stand up guy. I;m glad to see her sister also do well, considering the circumstances. All of these deaths have a ripple affect that the public is never really privy to. I wish them well in their lives.

Yes it must be emotionally confusing if when you should be the happiest you have ever been to be the most devastated instead it would make me wary to be happy at all anymore for fear of being devastated again I think being young makes people more optimistic about the future though compared to being older then maybe more loved ones have died or more trauma has accumulated some things people can't ever get over depends on their circumstances not just if they have a positive attitude or not how realistic it is to expect to love again.

@@annalisavajda252yes totally agree I am 60 and first experience of losing a loved one I was 23 and buried my first daughter (cot death) two years later buried my second daughter (stillborn) four years later my dad (massive heart attack/cancer) seven years later my eldest sister (cancer) three years later my mum (cancer) ... and life goes on 🙂 its like your heart gets enveloped by a blackness and you can become very hateful, if you allow yourself. I truly enjoyed the episode, it was well presented and easy to feel the emotions involved. It's clear this guy wasn't going to leave anyone behind this time around, as he had already been convicted of kidnapping and sexual assault. Unbeknownst to her, she was going to die that night no matter what. He waited and followed her. He had a gun, so she had no chance. He may have followed her home, then disposed of the car. He may have had an accomplice.

I can imagine, how Mr Hempel felt at the time. People can be so judgemental! Back in 2016, my neighbour's wife passed away in a car accident. She was in her early thirties and one of the sweetest persons existing in this world. There was an article about the accident, and below the article were two comments. By chance, the accident happened on the night of Saturday to Sunday. The first comment: "Well, she was either drunk or on drugs." The second comment: "Definitely!" Well, I can tell you, she didn't drink or use drugs at all, she was married and very committed to her husband and child. On top of all that, she was a co-driver(!). Please, think before you react. Read the full article, not just the headline(s).

I’m so sorry to hear that. I can’t understand why he would do that to you. I hope one day you can find some sort of peace with it. That was a very unfair thing he did. He stopped his own pain (whatever that was) only to leave you with a lasting image of him dying. I don’t think suicide is selfish like a lot of people think because I believe that someone takes their life really doesn’t understand how much people will miss them. How many people will come forward after and say “ oh no that makes me so sad. I haven’t talk to them for years. I wish I had called them or checked on them or something. I just got so busy.” And then they’re gone and they never find out how many people really did care about them. They’re just too much pain to see that. Somebody who takes their life in front of you is very selfish and he was young and it’s very sad that he did that to you. I’m really sorry for your hurt and pain. Sending a hug.

21:20-22:15 I am sorry for him, he was innocent. But it has happened many times before: the public maintains its suspicions, and in some cases the public was right. It has also happened that police end up discovering that the husband was the killer, even in cases when he was initially cleared up as a suspect. To lose the woman you love in those circumstances is particularly painful, but in the end the murderer was found, punished, Troy survived and found love again. We all wish him the best.
