I personally really liked the game, even when it came out. It was just a bit unpolished on release for sure, but I think Rockay City has grown a lot too since and added more content and refined things, so it has a lot more of what Payday 3 is lacking really just in a different style.

Friends I know that played Crime Boss said it’s so similar to Payday apart from once you finish the story there isn’t much incentive for replaying. They enjoyed the game but essentially returned back to Payday really.

I went and grabbed this game because of this video, and I am glad I did. 10 times better than payday 2 and 3 imo. Stealth is easier yet very punishing if you make 1 simple mistake, the bots will actively loot the goods with you so you don't have to and they don't die so damn quickly compared to the bots in payday 3. These 3 things I like a lot about crime boss a lot. The game can get frustrating. However , that part was due to my mess ups in the 2 runs I did. As for the team bots, I found them to be really good at the gameplay loop, but not all the time, as once in a while they would act dumb, but not anywhere near as dumb as the bots in payday 3 or any other bots in other shooting games, which surprised me a lot. I'm glad I picked this game up thanks to this video.

Man mask customization way worse, no materials, very limited decals and you can't even mix and match colors to make it look unique I was hoping they would improve from payday 2 but they really decided to learn nothing from payday 2

I have a blast with this game. Very fun to play. A lot of variation. I like the progression system. Does not take long to level up. I like that every character have their own personality. The only thing what could be better is the frames on console. It's not always 60 fps. But it's fine.

Despite its issues i do like payday 3. however it is severly lacking updates and content and any real reason to play atm for someone who is already lv 100 and has basicly all the gear. This game though has all the elements of payday but combines it with a rouge lite mode that from what iv seen looks more repayable than payday 3 currently is. Like i enjoy the idea of having a round of the game and seeing how far i can get before i lose and it gives reason to replay heists cus u are doing it for a reason. i also really like the look of the stealth gameplay it kinds feels like payday on easy mode witch really isnt a bad thing cus iv never really cared for the pager system. i kinda like the idea of being able to tie up every single person in the building and then doing the heist without any interruptions seams like that would be very satisfying. Iv seen thats its actuly coming to ps plus next week so im probs gonna give it a go. idk if its better than payday but i do think payday 3 can probs learn a few things from it. like i would love for payday to have its own rouge lite mode that gives me reason to replay heits beyond just xp and the ability to put your gun away is something that series desperately needs. and tbh regardless of if its better or not its got more to do rn than payday 3 has so def looking forward to that :3

Idk how but when ps5 hosts a developer promoted “free week and/or weekend” where you can download and play the game thru that period of the free trial, not sure if it’s bugged for me or this was done on purpose but what happened with first F1 2023 where a week came that it was free to play, and then Crime boss rockay city was free for a weekend I believe? (Might have been a week) I downloaded it to try, in both cases however I was granted free access to the game if I have my plus subscription I can access both for free, I ain’t mad in slightest as I just got xsx recently in past month or two and been on there, I left my ps5 in the dust with fav games like dying light 2 and my occasional completely grinded level 226 gta online character. I just jumped back on to download updates for both and possibly try but while waiting for download on my slow internet I started crime boss.. then played till I had to go to work today.. can’t wait to get home and chill and play, just like payday 2 meets gta online businesses

No attachment add ons unfortunately , they should really make it possible! You’re only able to unlock weapon presets , just bought the game , honestly not bad just needs a bit more customization options and overall polishing. Wayy more inviting than payday 3 though IMO

Not sure if this fully answers your question, but you can copy the Epic savegame files to the Steam folder and just continue playing, no need to start over unless you want to.

I did like this game but when I was playing the bugs drove me away from the game. I got pretty consistent issues with the cutscenes having either no audio (cutscene would play but I can’t hear anything) or no video (audio for the cutscene would play but all I got was a black screen). I might have also had a few crashes. Also characters with story related missions were kind of annoying. Here’s a large map that’s kind of confusing and if you die you can’t try again until you start a new run and find that character again. The voice acting is a little goofy (being an actor doesn’t mean you’re a good voice actor). Another issue was the maps were kind of large where you could possibly enter multiple buildings but only one building ever had loot. So there was no real point to look around for stuff besides trying to find every last piece of loot in a single building. I loved the loot bagging system and I like the variety of guns in the game. I have only tried the campaign so far. I don’t have any one to play with so I didn’t think to try multiplayer yet. I’ll see how the game runs in (hopefully) the near future…. not able to play on my PC yet.
