@JW-dc8hk Жыл бұрын
It’s not about his race because his race is the human race. What it’s about is culture and accumulative effect and the way the broader American culture has treated the downtrodden and people of ethnic groups. Plenty of functional-semi functional people have another side to them and if that side is bad it could be a mental health issue. He’s definitely a tougher case though
@newyoricanlevitenyrican9592 Жыл бұрын
@@JW-dc8hk that's why the word ETHNICITY was included... nothing tough about his case... it's a direct result of a specific mindset and culture that a community of a specific ETHNICITY has..
@JW-dc8hk Жыл бұрын
@@newyoricanlevitenyrican9592 That makes more sense but that’s not telling the whole story about the African American experience. African American subculture is a result of accumulative effect as a direct causal effect of treating this particular ethic group very badly. Then the other white ethic group slaps a label on them and says not my problem cause I wasn’t there. Truthfully it’s everyone’s problem because country belongs to all Americans. If we don’t take better care of ourselves then that has consequences for all peoples. Not that hard actually to improve when the standard of care increases with all of us

I wish all the victims a full and fast recovery. Mental health has been an issue for our country for a long time. We need to address it in a meaningful way FINALLY and offer wide spread mental health services in the form of health insurance preferably. “Throwing him in jail” as one says serves the purpose of people feeling good about him being punished, which of course he should but being rehabilitated will cure our society way down the line. We already did all the punishing already! This man is a product of us throwing people in jail for decades and that accumulative effect is the result!! Let’s stop and think ourselves out of this for a change. Let’s stop saying old slogans such as “Yeah real good that’ll do” or “Don’t give me that” and instead have a real meaningful change in our mind-sets, dealings and conversations. If we keep doing more of the same then the same happens. LETS THINK. There’s no such thing as thinking too much but there’s such a thing as thinking not enough.
