I think the goal is same as it has ever been... to destroy Russia and install another controllable puppet like Yeltsin was... to break their country open economically so that the IMF and WB can move in and make sure all their resources end up in western corporations. Turn Russia into yet another colony they can suck dry according to neoliberal principles (privatise everything, beat down any mention of worker unions, etc.). The same they will do with (the remains of) Ukraine once this is over. And of course, to destabilise the whole of Europe. At the end of this war, Ukraine will not exist in the same shape as before, Russia will be weaker, Europe will be incomparably weaker because of wasting money on prolonging the war and trying to tackle the incoming economic crises, while at the same time juggling millions of refugees... the only country benefiting from all this mess is the US, and that actually only applies to a tiny fraction of their population - the extremely rich. I don't think the US are our allies at all. That relationship is not based on respect at all, it is based on fear. We are American vassals with no opinion of our own. If we had our own opinion, we would lift the sanctions, stop the war and have normal trade with Russia. Instead of paying 4 times as much for gas coming from the US, we could just have normal relations with Russia and not starve and freeze anymore.

Ukraine already lost most trained and motivated soldiers along with almost all hardware it had before the war plus hundreds of tanks and IFVs it got from Eastern Europe. If Ukraine had lost everything you claim , Russia would be at the Polish border now . Nobody in Ukraine is being forced to fight , in fact the Ukrainian military has told many who would like to fight that they need those who have served in the military . Це не правда. Крим поврнеться до українського будинку, як Кубань, Білгород, Курськ, Таганріг, Зелений Клин... Росіяни дуже довго нам розповідали казки про південь України та схід, ми почали згадувати, де саме закінчується Україна? Так ось Я написав в цьому тексті, де закінчується Україна! В мене претензії лише до РФ, бо тільки вона постійно та систематично краде в України землі та вбиває людей, тобто до інших претензій не має. Лише до Росії! Бо вона дуже багато вкрадала, дуже багато вбивала українців -- тож ми згадали про свої землі, захоплені росією з 1920-1921 років, ми не забули проте, як більшовики ходили по хатах та рострілювали українських господарів, панів своєї землі, ми не забували про голодомор 1932-1933 роках вчинений з метою вбиваства українського народу більшовиками (нині це російська федерація).

Russia was also against croatia in ww1,ww2 and didnt support croatia in the yugoslav wars. Meanwhile germany helped croatia in ww1, in ww2 and yugoslav wars.
