I met him two days ago and the first thing I said was "You're my favorite... just everything. I hope you understand when I say, you are my Colm Wilkinson." And he looked up at me and said "haha, well you know what, that means a lot. Thank you man." Then he asked my name, gave me a fist bump and we took a picture. Someday I'm going to be on stage, and when I get there I'm going to make sure I thank him for being a true inspiration.

I love his wide-eyed optimism. He said in another interview/video that he never thought whether or not he was a good singer, he just likes to sing. That really impressed upon me. I contacted my old voice teacher and asked her to set me up with lessons again once the quarantine is over.

Apart from being super-talented, Ramin's also the nicest, down-to-earth star you'll ever meet. I've met him at quiet stage doors and completely packed show halls, and he always takes the time to talk to each of his fans, even when there are 200 of them waiting for his autograph. So. I see a lot of you claiming he is not Canadian. Newsflash: up here, you don't need to be born here for the populace to consider you Canadian. My European ancestors came from somewhere else; they were Canadian. Ramin was raised here from the ages of 2-18; a long time. His entire childhood, basically. So, yeah; he IS Canadian. He has dual citizenship, moreover. Canadians can be proud of him. He was raised here and became a huge star overseas, and that's something we can feel great about and be inspired by. I hope he is or becomes a huge inspirations for teenagers here and becomes their Colm Wilkinson.
