With even the medical examiner even saying his injuries weren't consistent with being hit at 24mph, the entire reason Lally put the ME up last was he needed at least one juror to have decided that Read was definitely guilty BEFORE hearing the me and disregarding that testimony.

Exactly. And maybe it’s not true but it seemed to me that the M.E. looked more comfortable when on cross saying that his injuries could have been due to everything the Defense suggested. I firmly believe that Procter et al. pressured her. She was brave but I do wish she’d been even braver…

Word is that: Brian A punched him in the nose and John fell back and smacked his head and Chloe attacked him to protect her owner - either they threw him in the shower (thus wet clothing) and then John didn’t wake up - threw up after having a convulsion - threw John at the edge of the property with the hopes that they could say the plow hit him (as a plow had recently hit someone else in the area recently) - So many podcasters have done great on this case!! Proof beyond "reasonable" doubt only applies when jurors aren't UNREASONABLE! For an effective jury panel, most people lack the requisite emotional intelligence to be fair & the ability to give someone grace in times of trauma or grief. They don't realize that people all respond differently when experiencing trauma, or that "not crying during the trial" isn't an indication of guilt. The lunatics who hear factual, credible, common sense evidence that the car didn't strike a person - and John's injuries weren't caused by a car - from the best independent experts in the nation used by the DOJ & NHL...and _still_ refuse to accept their testimony as true - are serving on juries & putting innocent people in prison ALL over...ALL the time. So, _why_ is this our chosen justice system? Any of us could be imprisoned for something we didn't do because of those people. There are countless examples of this happening to people who were later exonerated upon further investigation. We cannot stand for this. I don't want these people on my jury if I'm ever falsely accused of a crime! I don't want my freedom taken because of a few people's blind faith in law enforcement or critique of my facial expressions. Why do we put such an important decision in the hands of a jury with NO prerequisite IQ, education, life experience, or proven open-mindedness? Why wouldn't potential jurors have to pass a thorough screening interview, mental health assessment, psychological evaluation, or emotional intelligence screening? We all agree that our current system is wrought with human error & bias, yet we've done nothing to correct it in over 200 years! Without enacting a more rigorous jury screening process, here's how we could improve the process to ensure defendants receive the benefit of the doubt while preventing wrongful convictions: A "guilty" verdict must be unanimous. A 10-2 or 11-1 "not guilty" verdict is an acquittal. That way, 1 or 2 "unreasonable" people won't cause a mistrial!
@eammbutler1323
@eammbutler1323 2 күн бұрын
I agree about a large majority for not guilty leading to acquittal but not the rest. A jury only gets a case when professionals decide to prosecute. A defendant could opt for a bench trial but obviously no same person would if Aunty Bev is the judge.

I don’t think even a ton of people knew what happened - if JOK immediately got out of car (nagel brother said Karen was alone in car) We also know at that point Higgins plow was Not where he said it was - I think jok went straight to him - a scuffle and if jok fell back into plow and especially area of attachment / lots of sharp metal that could have caused abrasions/ scratches on arm-if he fell between plow and keep) Higgins runs into house for help ( the time period when BA and BH we’re supposedly in other room looking at photos) Now BA tells Jen / Matt to clear out house - sends Higgins on his way - says go to canton PD so u have alibi … Then BA moved body and plan is to say - never saw him - must have been hit by plow - he was really drunk - think they switched to KR at the early morning meeting at Albert’s Also important - at fed grand jury Higgins says see man in house - he was alluding to nagel brother not Jok…. So why say u saw someone in house who we know never went in house ? He got confused as to whether angel bro went in house - and Higgins wants to be in house at that point - because that is alibi

Have you see Paul’s interview? I couldn’t watch it. I watched until he told why they believe Karen is guilty, then I turned it off. I already have negative feelings toward he and his mother. The way his mother behaved during the trial would have not gone over in any other courtroom in America. She was laughing when they were reading proctors text messages and I saw twice where the defense objected to something and she had her hands up and plop them down in her lap. Judges usually tell family members if they can’t keep from crying during autopsy or crime scene pictures to leave the courtroom. They don’t want the family to show any emotion. That tiny courtroom had the O’Keefe family directly in front of the jurors. Paul said the reason they KNEW she was guilty because of the way she behaved the day of John‘s death. They’re basing her guilt on her behavior, but they said in that courtroom and saw all that evidence that proved she did not hit him with her vehicle. She didn’t hit him with her vehicle then how did the tail light pieces get there? That’s where all the conspiracy ideas come from. That the Canton remnants of a drinking glass, and some blood. They blew the snow around with a leaf blower, and didn’t see one piece of bright red plastic! so many people like to say it’s strains credulity! (Sp?).

There was no documentation of evidence,no photographs, and no interview with the occupants of the house where the body on the lawn was found. Investigation 101. Wouldn't these be the first 3 things done in an investigation? Canton Police Department got the order to steer clear of 34 Fairview Rd. Almost like a Mafia boss is calling the shots. The first responder,that never came out of the house,to ask what is going on with the ambulance and fire trucks,also known as Brian Albert, would qualify as a mob boss. Nobody likes him,and everyone knows not to go near him and his orders.

The Trooper Union’s statement makes it very clear that Proctor is only being investigated for his texts at this time. This does NOT surprise as they have had ALL of this information for 16 months whilst carrying out an ‘internal investigation’. Clearly their internal investigations department is as inept as the Canton PD and the majority of State troopers that testified at trial. It’s so incredibly concerning that not one department seems to be looking at the entirety of what has happened here and that less than satisfactory Troopers are still patrolling the streets and highways of MA. If Read was found guilty no action would’ve been taken against Proctor and I firmly believe that any action taken against him now will be minimal as it could not be clearer that this is just a poorly conceived PR stunt. Perhaps both for and against Read protesters can come together and agree that MA citizens deserve better?!

28:04 The problem is that within 16 hours, Proctor had decided how it was going to go and he was going to make the evidence fit. My Red Flags started with the Leafblower and so cups. Then, over the next few hours the Canton is recused but conveniently the case was somehow assigned to a family friend and a cold case partner. What are the chances of is that happening with no shady business, Slim to none. I looked up the roster for MSP in 2022 and there were many MSP Troopers, far more than I expected! Then the fact that Proctor called Sert to assemble however told them to hold off until he got approval. I think it was more like until he could get KE’s interview over and get her vehicle. He had time with the vehicle before (I believe the evidence clearly showed that). Then the prosecution played the inverted video and that really put me over the edge. That video shouldn’t have been allowed but regardless, it took the Defense pointing out that what the jurors were led to believe until then was absolutely disgraceful and I thoroughly believed mistrial WITH prejudice was warranted for this purposeful act by the Prosecution and witness (as well as a number of other Prosecutorial and Judicial errors) That was clear and convincing evidence the Prosecutor was not coming from a position of truth, but rather he just wanted the win. That included all the testimony from the multiple liars that the Prosecution knew had already lied and would continue to do so. Witnesses in the beginning like B Albert and M McCabe were steadily looking at what was likely texts on their phones or watches. It was blatantly obvious!

Same for me. I went into this case without listening to any pre trial hearings. Slowly but surely so many red flags popped up. I think the cherry on top, was Troooer Paul's reenactment. That to me was ludicrous. Also Trooper Greano (sorry about spelling), trying to prove the cellubrite information was wrong. We know, as avid trial watchers, so many murderers were found guilty because of their phones. Are we to expect appeals on all of these cases 😂. And I think the gaslighting by unlikable Jen, was just the deciding factor for me. After her performance I would also say "I hit him", even though I am in another country. IMO it can only be "flar earthers" who do not believe in science, proving that it was impossible that the car hit him. I still have a private chuckle when I try and picture OJO, being hit on the arm, smashes his head, then does a 360, and then flies 30 feet.😂 I am actually looking forward the the next trial. I want to see the squirming, of all the liars.

@@charmainesanders8734 I mean a Jackson “Pirouette”. I almost spit out my coffee. Of course what happened to IJO was not funny but the state sure treated it like a comedy. My theory about Mani McCabe (manipulative McCabe) is that after her eerily quite call to 911 (the call cleaned up without the background noise is VERY telling) Jen leans into Karen when EMT’s are there and quietly says: Did you possibly hit him, do you think you could have hit him?” Karen responds with incredulity REPEATING what Jen said “Did I hit him, could I have hit him” as in “are you freaking serious right now? Given both of there personalities, I could absolutely see that happening. I would probably say the same thing Karen did. She thought this witch was her friend…far from it Jen didn’t say any of it in her initial interview and it wasn’t until after the family and friend pow wow that she called the investigator back and gave the first version of what she claimed KR blurted out. Of course that statement changed more times and basically took on a life if it’s own…morphing into something completely different than all other testimony she gave about it. I wish someone caught her off guard and asked her contextual questions about that conversation. Her face doesn’t hide lies well AT ALL!

An EMT remembering something that didn't exist??? Ok I don't know if that makes sense? 🤔 Mmmmhhhhhhhh??🤔 That's a little bit to far for my imagination to stretch I'm afraid??🧐. Usually EMTs are pretty Thorough & accurate as to what did and did not happen... They don't usually pull something out of thin air- like a big puffy jacket?? Plus because it was big an puffy- in it by itself would have made it that much easier to remember what the jacket looked like would it not?? Were there any crime scene photos taken of John O'Keefe before his body was moved- to verify whether or not John was actually wearing a big puffy jacket??? 🤔 And we know the chances of Katie the first responder lying -goes up significantly if her story has evolved from one testimony to the other... With actual memory of an a event- a person story will never change- because it's being pulled from real time memory... And trauma keeps the memory intact over time. Where's a person who is fabricating their version of a story will struggle to keep their story straight... Which was definitely the case with Katie... So, more likely then not Katie was indeed falsifying her testimony to fit into the narrative that Lily was presenting. Hence 2+2=4. 😘✌️

It's not a stretch for people who were at the scene and in the firehouse to hear and participate in the discussions to misremember that they heard Read say something that was actually something they heard at the firehouse discussions. It was over two years ago. I wonder if the juror(s) who voted guilty have gone back and watched any of the voir dire of the witnesses and other evidence they didn't get. I have become very obsessed with this case ! All Dog trainers, all agree Those are bite marks on John’s arm ! Indicating John was in the house ( Chloe the dog ) Became involved in the obvious altercation autopsy photos show John eyes Black and blue , face mauled 😱 My question for theO’Keefe family , why does the family have tunnel vision? 89% of the public all agree Karen, Read is innocent !!!

28:20 and given the brief recording in the PD when Karen said something like “your in on the joke to? My taillight has a crack and John is pulverized. This is really indicative of her personality. I actually believe that Karen never asked or made statements about her involvement the way it was presented. I think what happened: Jen calls 911 in the mist eerily calm way and states “guy”or “Man” is in the snow. She speaks so quietly as on this call. That is crazy to me because I would be all losing my mind just , however I believe with all my heart: Jen almost whispered, to Jaren the same way she spoke to 911 “do you think you hit him, do you think you could have hit him? Karen responded with absolute incredulity and disbelief that her friend would even ask her that and she REPEATED what Karen just said. “Did I hit him, could I have hit him? As in, you have got to be kidding! Then once the fam got together to figure out their story, Hen remembered this situation, likely Jerri brought it up and would only would likely have states s

Yes, a lot of consistencies with the staircase as well. The statement of KAREN were Proctor says he wish she was dead it would make it easier and the same thing was said for Sarah. It was made to look like she committed suicide, but in fact, my opinion is she was killed.

So she hit me. She thought I was referring to TCJ, I had to fight for my life. You have a loyal AF subbie Ashley.

Two beautiful hosts here, but is the laughter during the convo necessary. It bothers me to the core that everyone, except for the O’Keefe family, finds this trial and mistrial to be entertaining. I don’t know the affected families at all, but this should be a fight for justice for Officer O’Keefe and his family, not about the defendant and her newfound celebrity persona.

Bizarre!! No offense, anyone, but I began paying attention to this case because of John O'Keefe's injuries & seeing, obviously, no way they could've been created by a vehicle!! Even excluding the arm, which I took 1 look at & wondered what dog jumped on him BUT, & here's why no offense: I honestly don't see how anyone with 1/2a brain could think a car was involved & if no car was involved, Karen Read cannot be found guilty. Simple. The arm isn't involved in the actual charges. I'm not even sure they attributed to his death, but with those, as well as the butt dials, screwed up investigation, Procter too close to the McAlberts, etc. There's actually enough reasonable doubt, in my opinion, to fly a 747 thru our drive a semi!! But seriously... all the chgs require he was hit by a car & I fail to see it. I couldn't see it before the trial!! Without the inbreeding, the"cover-up", & as I said, all the screw up, lies, inverted video, et al. I fail to comprehend!! I don't know what did happen but I do know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, not only should this NEVER HAVE BEEN BROUGHT TO TRIAL (NEVER MIND A 2ND TIME!!! WHICH, I don't think they really will), she is guilty-!! And as far as any drunk driving, I also fail to see how they'd ever prove that!! The BAC they took at 9:?? the next day can't be right!! Procter is who have them the info as to when Karen had her last drink, and we KNOW he didn't know! He'd never even talked to her so how would he know she did or did not have a drink at 12:45, which, incidentally, is the exact time Lally gave as the time of the murder when he first told the CW theory!! We all know that's changed, too, but how would Procter have known? How would anyone know? FYI: Ladies, people who live in Canton say Procter is home while he's being investigated. So, he gets to earn $200K, roughly, for bugging Lizzie 24/7. And isn't she a jewel? Oi!! Never fear!! I truly don't think the CW will retry but, even if they do, Ajax has a 96% win rate. They'll be able to autopsy the trial. Choose what worked & what didn't & lay Lally out!! I just do hope we hear soon from one or more of the jurors. And I'm super glad you aren't covering the fact Paul O'Keefe talked cause hearing that shit once was enough for me!! Thx!!

It wasn’t the grass or the kid or the Boston detective or the dog or the love struck ATF agent or the housewives or their kids There was never a piloette by the victim. Nobody looked away. These are part of a performance. it simply was the defendant. For those that gave their money to a paid activist hired by the defendant to create this you have been played. Look to the interviews in the initial part of this investigation and what was stated Nightline comes to mind.

I want to add that the jury instructions were repetitive, long and murky, not even sure the law was explained per each charge and the judge said she would send in 2-3 copies to the jury room. Each Daybell juror each got a copy and those instructions were very clear. Maybe this is the reason for a hung jury, just guessing.
