I am an old white guy who nevertheless loves plants, especially desert plants. I appreciate the intelligence of your videos greatly. Some suggestions for South Texas where I once lived, two species of Sideroxylon lanugo Odin and celastrinum, northern representatives of the Sapotaceae, Condalia hookeri. All three known in Spanish as Coma. And Passiflora tenuiloba. Keep up the good work.

1. I think Peniocereus scrambles & mimics similarly? 2. Some Echinocerei are said to taste like strawberries. Any thoughts on whether E. poselgeri would be worth cultivation specifically for its fruit?

No, most spider moms don't eat the dads. But, some do and some of the Black Widows will eat the males if they are hungry. The males can smell the pheromones of the females and can tell if they are hungry or full. I love spiders. Don't kill them. Put them outside alive if you don't like living with them.
@vangu2918 Жыл бұрын
Kicking Spiders Out of Your Home A lot of time a person’s first reaction to a spider in their home is to kill it. Then, there are also people who want to rescue the spider and take it outside back to their “habitat”. The thing is, a House Spider’s habitat is not outside, it’s your home. By putting the spider outside, it probably won’t survive outside of its habitat and will die.
@RobinMarks1313 Жыл бұрын
@@vangu2918 I agree, many spiders won't survive outside unless they find a new home, maybe a shed. But, even if they don't survive, they'll be food for the outside spiders or preying mantis, or bird. Give them a fighting chance, or give them as food to another creature.

Dung beetles can be quite impatient (well the little iridescent ones, anyway). Squat for a shit in the bush, with nothing around but you, some bushes, and a scoop in the ground, and out of nowhere the little green dung beetles will come flying in, the moment you release all that fart perfume. And they go straight for the target, and crash into the area around your arsehole during the dropping of the shit. And then you start laughing, and somehow manage to shit on your heel.
