I love every moment of my stay and have a deep respect for Italy and Italian culture. The story was one sided from the beginning, sadly. Starting with the prosecutor that ignored everything else and worked hard to prove that Amanda was quilty... though he had no evidence. @@twengkiedo We can say it IS biased, despite having our own biases. Because media shouldn't be bias. Media is suppose to show all sides of the story so we can be informed and have a better assessment of the situation instead of relaying with our biases. So to say you can't say this is bias because we have our own biases is an erroneous statement.

The first problem with Amanda that made her the suspect is lack of compassion and any emotion towards the roommate. IEven I don't know Rhea victim, to find out someone died a horrible death, i t will make me cry even if I don't care much about my room mate it will affect me so much. But her attitude that showed her death didn't seem to bother her is what so bothersome to me.. That's why most people believed she is the murderer. She only cried when she was charged. It will make anyone cry if someone you know die in such horrific death. I have no sympathy for her even if she's innocent according to her.

1) The confession. Knox confessed that she was in the house on the night of the murder and that she heard Miss Kercher scream, identifying a Congolese bar owner, Patrick Lumumba, as the assailant. She told the court during the trial that the confession was made under duress but then repeated the entire account in a five page memorandum the next morning. 2) The false accusation. The prosecution said the fact that Knox falsely accused Lumumba of being the killer was a sign of her own guilt and an attempt to throw them off her trail. He was arrested in a dawn raid by armed police and spent two weeks in jail. It was only by chance that a Swiss businessman read about the case and came forward to say he had been talking to Lumumba in his bar on the night of the murder - offering him a rock-solid alibi. Lumumba says Knox nearly ruined his life and is suing her for defamation. 3) The alibi. Sollecito could not back up Knox’s alibi on the night of the murder. She claimed she spent the evening with him, smoking marijuana, watching the French film Amelie and making love. But Sollecito told police he could not remember if Knox was with him that evening or not. Even assuming his memory was hazy because of the drugs, it seemed odd that a young man who had just embarked on a new relationship could not recall whether he had spent the night with his girlfriend or not. 4) Computer and telephone records. Sollecito claimed he used his computer to download and watch cartoons and Amelie. But computer experts told the court that there was no activity on his laptop between 9.10pm on Nov 1, and 5.32am the next morning - the time frame in which the murder took place. Knox and Sollecito turned off their mobile phones on the night of the murder, from around 8.40pm, and turned them back on at around 6am, inviting further suspicion. 5) The staged break-in. A bedroom belonging to one of Miss Kercher’s Italian flatmates was ransacked on the night of the murder, with a window smashed with a rock. But police said the break-in was staged - broken glass from the window was found on top of clothes scattered on the floor, suggesting the window was broken after the contents of the room were messed up. Prosecutors accused Knox and her boyfriend of staging the break-in to make the killing look like a burglary that had turned into rape and murder. Mark Laris Rispondi Inoltra

This video is trying to make Amanda innocent. I remember this crime at the time it was committed. Amanda didn’t say at that time she was forced to point to a barman. She said it years later. At that time she changed her evidence every day. In the second trial they found some procedures mistakes and it’s how she escaped from the justice. Rafael’s father was a powerful man and had an influence for the final decision.

So we are expected to believe Guede boldly leaves his excrement in the toilet for all to see but he takes the time to carefully cover his victims body? Yeah right... The covering of the victim is very significant and an important detail not to be overlooked. The act of covering the victim is telling in many ways it indicates:- the killer knew Meredith well. @Brainstorming Plus Here's what he had done in Washington before he went to Perugia Today saw an astonishing development in the Meredith Kercher murder case, and this time it was not in the courtroom. Amanda Knox, 26, who has refused to attend her appeal trial, currently on-going in Florence, Italy, admitted on her personal blog site that she was previously responsible for a distressing fake burglary against her own housemates in circumstances eerily foreshadowing an important part of the wider case against her for sexually aggravated murder. As well as the murder, Knox has always been charged with faking a burglary at the scene of the murder in Perugia, Italy, an act the prosecution allege was intended to obscure the true perpetrators of the crime whom they say were Knox, her Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito and Rudy Guede. Amanda Knox has admitted on her personal blog for the first time that she had previously been involved in a ‘staged robbery’ during her time at the University of Washington. She admitted that the hazing prank, played on her flat-mates at the University of Washington, involved messing up the flat and hiding things to make it appear as if items had been stolen. Knox used "mutual friends" of her other housemates to help fake the burglary in her own premises. She acknowledges that it caused "distress" to her housemates and she and her accomplices had to apologise for the act. She does not disclose, however, what exactly happened or the full role of the "mutual friends". In the Meredith Kercher case, the police and prosecution have alleged for years that Knox, Sollecito and Guede staged a fake burglary in her own cottage in Perugia, which she shared with Meredith and two other women to cover up evidence of the murder. The cottage was also ‘messed up’, but police and witnesses independently noted glass was found on top of tossed clothes and belongings in the cottage, suggesting that a window had been broken after the rooms were ransacked. No glass was found on the ground outside the window, which the prosecution believe disproves that the murder was as a result of a ‘burglary gone wrong’. Rudy Guede’s stated in his testimony that on the night of the murder, Meredith Kercher was angered and upset to find that 300 euros was missing from her bedside table, leading to an argument with Knox which escalated. Rumours of the hazing prank have been around for years, after a former acquaintance of Knox’s let the story slip, just a month after her arrest. On being pressed for details, the informant clammed up, and the incident has subsequently been vociferously denied by members of Knox’s family and her supporters. Meanwhile her defence have made repeated references to Rudy Guede’s past actions as character evidence against him. The startlingly frank admission by Knox should also be seen in conjunction with the ticket she received for hosting a riotous party at the University of Washington. The party got out of hand, and guests were reported to the police for throwing rocks at passers-by. A picture begins to emerge of a woman who, prior to the crime in Perugia, was not risk-averse, was responsible for anti-social behaviour, and for causing upset and distress to her flatmates. The hazing confession, had it been made before the trial, may have been used as evidence of ‘prior acts of misconduct’. Indeed, the rock throwing party was brought up in the trial as evidence against Knox’s character. Yesterday’s revelations will come as no surprise to case-watchers. Her decision to stay away from the appeal hearing in Florence was widely seen as an ‘own goal’, and her emailed plea to the court clearly irritated the judge. In it, she suggested that the court would be unable to remain neutral in deciding her fate - a move not designed to curry favour with the judiciary. Whether her latest admission makes an impact on the current hearing remains to be seen. At the appeal hearing in Florence on Thursday, Raffaele Sollecito’s defence lawyer, Giulia Bongiorno, waved a large knife in front of the jury, in an effort to convince them that it could not have been the murder weapon. Whilst this may play well to the gallery, it did not appear to impress the judge. After seven years of protesting her client’s innocence there appears to be little new, legally, that Bongiorno can bring to the table. Meanwhile, back in Seattle, Knox has yet again reiterated her desire to speak with the Kerchers, despite the grieving family’s numerous rejections of her approaches. The Kerchers, whose stoicism and grace in the face of the trial has impressed observers around the world, have not commented on her latest request. Meredith’s sister Stephanie, who was named Cosmopolitan’s Woman of the Year in 2012, showed typical composure when she was forced to speak out in response to Knox’s macabre July request to be taken to Meredith’s grave by the family, for her personal ‘closure’. Stephanie responded, “Her grave is now the safest place for her, she can rest in peace and be with us. I hope that is respected by everybody.” Amanda Knox caused further distress to Meredith’s family last month by setting up a personal website with a ‘memorial’ page dedicated to Ms Kercher, using family photos of Meredith, without their permission. The Kercher’s lawyer stated that the site had distressed the family, and asked that the ‘donations’ button in support of Meredith be removed, a request that Knox initially refused, unless she heard the request from them personally. On Thursday, Knox told Italian newspaper La Repubblica, ’I want to speak to them. I want to tell them I had nothing to do with Meredith's death”. This latest request can only cause further pain to Meredith’s parents, who are both suffering from ill-health at present. The verdict is expected on January 30. It should be noted that the US rule of double jeopardy do not apply in this case. The hearing in Florence is not a re-trial, but an appeal against the original conviction for murder.

Here's how the facts really went The night starts at 10.40pm. Raffaele was expected to come to the police station and since Amanda lived in his place he decided to come. The police were calling Raffaele to confront him with the inconsistencies of his telephone archives. Comparing with the telephone records that showed that he called 911 after the police had already arrived, Raffaele quickly changed his version. His new story was that Amanda had left her company at 9:00 pm to go see friends and had only returned at 1 am wearing what could have been different clothing. To make it even more suspicious, Raffaele added that in the morning he asked for a plastic bag because he needed it for dirty clothes. * Amanda was in the public waiting room of the police station. He did some homework, called Filomena and asked if the arrangements would be kept once this was over, and she made the now famous cartwheel at the police station. We do not have precise timetables for these, but at some point between 11:30 pm and midnight Monica Napoleoni, head of the homicide section of the Perugia police station, approached Amanda while Amanda took something from the vending machine. Napoleoni approaches and leans against the car and asks "Who could kill her on earth?" While your boyfriend is an hour in his interrogation that should trigger alarm bells but Amanda would later tell her mother she had no idea she needed a lawyer. The decision to arrest Raffaele had been taken and Napoleoni wanted to move Amanda as far as possible from Raffaele's room so that he would not hear it, if he should cry out in protest. At this point the police knew that the couple was involved, but felt like they were protecting someone else. The police had annoyed the waiting room and heard a conversation in which they discussed a third person they had not named on November 4th. The following are extracts from police interviews with Amanda Knox and her Italian boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito ... Raffaele Sollecito: What are you thinking about? Amanda Knox: I don't want to be here. I want this to be over. I want to know who his friends are because he doesn't have many friends. He didn't leave the house much. He didn't talk much. Napoleoni asked Amanda about Patrick's message. Amanda had previously claimed that she never responded, but the police knew she had. In combination with the intercepted conversation, the police imagined that the person Amanda and Raffaele could talk to was Patrick. Amanda was told that Raffaele no longer supported his alibi. That Raffaele had said that she had left at 9pm and had not returned before 1am. Amanda started hitting herself on the temples with both hands. Agent Rita Ficarra stated that "she started crying and wrapped her hands around her head, started shaking her" and then "she said: it was him ... Patrick killed her. It was the same behavior he had committed the night of the murder when the police had fingerprinted all those who had access to the house and again when the police had asked the girls to look at the knives to identify if they were missing. At this point Amanda told the first version of the story in which Raffaele and she were at home and Patrick killed Meredith. He was called Mignini and arrived around 1 am. Amanda told the same story again in her presence. Her statement was typed at 1:45 am and she was informed that she was no longer a witness, but that she would now be considered suspicious. * Mignini informed her that he would not ask her any questions until she had obtained a lawyer, but was free to make spontaneous statements. Amanda refused and was taken to a cell where they fed her. At 5:45 amanda decided she wanted to make a spontaneous statement. Again she tells the same story. This was followed by a letter to the police in which he tried to retract part of what he said and it is very strange in the fact that he now says that his confession is true, but also that his alibi is true even if they are excluded to each other.

The thing with cops is that when they know they arrested the wrong person, they will do all they can to convict them and put them in jail and hopefully keep them quiet. They would rather this happens, then to admit their inept investigation and bumbling mistakes that would make them look stupid in the public eye. Happens in all countries. I don't know if she is guilty or not, but if the cops screw up the crime scene and evidence, and misrepresent statements, then they need a scapegoat to cover up their mistakes.

the Bruno/Marasca verdict is contradictory. It is illogical to the point of being grotesque. We may see the long trail of inconsistencies later on. Now we shall note as a premise that its inconsistency is glaring on macroscopic points and it is not up to me or Mara Costanza to rationalize for it. What I can do is note those things are that stated clearly as proven facts - and we shall distinguish between those findings pointed out as certain in the ruling, and what instead is considered not proven or not in the ruling. One proven thing, called “incontrovertible” by the ruling, is that Meredith was physically killed by more than one person, while someone was holding her tight. It says that this is not because of the previous Guede verdict, but because there “multiple evidences” of this that emerged also in the Knox-Sollecito trials. On pp. 25-26 explains that it would be impossible for a single person to commit the murder, because of the mechanical action needed. So it is absolutely proven that Meredith was NOT raped and killed by Rudy Guede, but instead she was raped and killed by multiple perpetrators. Think about this and absorb this information. Then, also: It calls the purported burglary a “staging” and points out that even thinking about a burglary would be illogical because of the peculiar dynamics of the murder; it also says Amanda Knox washed her hands of Meredith’s blood, and calls this an “eloquent proof”. (you may concede that Amanda Knox with Meredith’s blood on her hands is a particularly disturbing image to find in a verdict). On the other hand, the ruling does NOT say something like "Amanda Knox was not involved in the killing". And does not utter the word “impossible” at all. Quite the contrary: instead, the verdict recalls para 530.2, concludes that it is only not proven beyond a standard of reasonable doubt that Knox took “active part to the killing action”. (implication: but she might well have) Note: let’s repeat this, it does not say "she didn’t", neither calls this option “impossible”, even remotely. Quite on the contrary, it points out (p.49) that there are in fact only two options: either she took an active part to the killing, or she only tried to cancel the evidence subsequently in order to cover up a murderer. The ruling does not present a third option. There is no "innocent" option presented. Obviously, one might notice, the Supreme Court assessment that the proof of an “active participation” is “resisted” by the lack of DNA findings in the murder room, is clearly contradictory with the finding at pp.25-26 that the participation of multiple perpetrators is “incontrovertible”. Besides the detail that the Supreme Court cannot assess evidence and does not have access to evidence, this is just one of the glaring contradictions in the verdict. Another contradiction is with the trial papers: the assumption that a lack of DNA finding of a female subject (with no detectable Y-chromosome) in a context where the traces from another female profile is very abundant would be significant, is an assumption that contradicts the findings of the preliminary hearing (testimony of Stefanoni of Oct. 2008). Stefanoni did explain in fact that if small traces DNA of another female were present, they would not be detectable on Meredith’s body nor on items where the presence of her DNA is massive (because of statistical effects due to the amplification process). To conclude, Mara Costanza is pointing out correct facts and noting the ruling content properly, she’s not being a weasel. Another few notes: The ruling does not say that Amanda’s presence in the cottage was “acclaimed” in the trial. The ruling says that her presence is a PROVEN FACT in the trial (albeit the English doctored translation published by the pro-Knox camp alters and falsifies the content in many passages). It calls her presence “certain” also in one other passage, it points out clearly that it is talking about the moment when Meredith was killed, that Knox even heard her scream, that she was aware of details of the murder before the police knew them, and that she knew Lumumba was innocent because she was there.

Nice bit of one sided journalism. 😭 So much missed out in this, it could almost be classed as propaganda. Knox is lying about things to what extent we will never know now. I certainly believe she was involved. So many inconsistencies like the knife etc. Then her interview her body movements showed a person who was lying. Then the guy convicted is pretty much free now too. So much for justice 😢. RIP Merideth
