They didn't notice a major game mechanic in the final game. When they narrowed it down to knowing exactly who the killer and victim were, the game jumped to the Final Turn. If you watch the turn counter, it jumps from 3 turns left to final turn. If they tried controlling the killer when they had it down to 2 people, they might've ended it a round or two sooner.

I’m not too used to this game, but early on in Lydia’s Moriarty game at 44:00 couldn’t she have just won right there and then by Assailing with Agatha and running freeman out of the room?

I'm fairly certain that if Lydia didn't commit to constantly moving Ellery she could of won that on turn 3 in thier 2nd game (idk if she won it or not yet as its not that far yet)
@LucyTheBox2 жыл бұрын
Man, she had so many oppertunities, I feel so frustrated I just wanna point them all out.
@LucyTheBox2 жыл бұрын
At 44:32 it was really smart of her to move Freeman out of the room, if she did assail with Agetha, she'd have won, but instead she moved Ellery. It wasn't a guaranteed win, but it was a likely victory. At 48:37 she actually got screwed over by the game. The game for some reason thought that she moved Agetha, but she clearly did not. At 53:18 she should have sprinted after her target instead of only moving 2 spaces. She is about to get hungry, so this is the last chance she'll get to move 2 spaces. They're already suspicious of Agetha, so acting fast is key. But her biggest blunder happens at 56:21. She can actually almost guarantee a win if she moves B down 2 and uncover the secret passage way. Because the detectives wouldn't be able to figure out whether Catherin or Dorithy is Agatha's target and thus would have their focus split between trying to save them both. Instead, she controls Catherin, giving away that Dorethy is her target. Additionally, because she didn't move Berkeley away, Dorothy can go to him for safety. However, 58:21 is a close contendor for biggest blunder. She chooses the assail option while it's clearly going to be impossible to reach the target. This results in a final turn where the target can just casually move 1 square and be perfectly fine. If she waited with assail and just continued to stalk her target, a better oppertunity might have presented itself.
@Amraterasu2 жыл бұрын
@@LucyTheBox 48:37 While it might have made it more difficult for Lydia, it didn't falsely screw her over. It's not that the game thought she moved Agatha, that's an intended game mechanic. You cannot move only 1 person as Moriarty. The person on the side of Moriarty HAS to move 2 people per turn, not UP to 2 people. If you don't move both, the other action will be randomly assigned to a random pawn. That is what the warning was trying to tell Lydia at the end of that phase when she hit Commit Command. "You can command 1 MORE PAWN(S). Are you sure you want to end this phase? Note: Control for the remaining 1 pawn(s) will be randomly assigned."

It drove me nuts! She played that round pretty well for only having a practice under her belt. I saw the cogs turn when she moved freeman and clicked commit. It would have been awesome to see a third turn win. It would have changed the other players whole meta for the rest of the video.

Just picked this up and it's a blast. Played a couple game as Evil Man with friends and the strongest thing is the fact that when no1 commands a pawn they move on their own. So as Evil man round one just say ull command the target and end ur turn without doing anything. That means every1 thinks uv moved the target. Then in like 2 turns do something suspect af and out urself as Mor. Boom uv now every1 thinks ur target is just a random pawn. So fucking clutch.

Maybe I'm just stupid, but this seems pretty unbalanced in favor of Sherlock? At least if you're playing with other humans & they understand the "meta", then the good guys can communicate and manipulate possible victims to stick together, making murder impossible.
@Scaedura_2 жыл бұрын
You don't really get enough moves as the innocents to keep everyone together. There's 6 characters and you can move 3 every turn, with the traitor being able to overwrite 2 of those potentially, so that leaves only 1 guaranteed move sometimes. Characters that don't get moved by the players, get moved by the AI, so can easily run off. Then there's the need for the characters to find food, because without food they can barely move and can't stop the murder anyway which also means you sometimes have to split up. Keeping everyone together doesn't seem that easy.
@devilbathuricane2 жыл бұрын
Yea the food system punish this trick and if you stick them together sherlock clue at the end of the day will be useless so moriarty will just wait untill all is hungry and then suddenly move the non hungry people to do the kill.

@@Scaedura_ Also remember that wolves comes in after a night to two, and fuse can be sabo from 3rd AI. All in all both players require luck, and strategy of thinking what opponents are thinking, while seeing if you can hit the jackpot of who get interaction to prove they are innocent of each other. It's pretty balance.

You can also use gas sprays to blind groups and get a free murder over extra conservative players. Plus sticking together gives you little data on who the victim is.
