This has to be one of the most heart-breaking crimewatch cases I remember seeing, 1 innocent man spent 16 years behind bars for a crime he couldn't have possibly committed, I'm very sceptical as to how and why these complete miscarriage of justices happen, do the law purposely withold/enter evidence that would otherwise see true justice being done, and the poor fellow died before he or any of his family could get any compensation, R.I.P to ALL those who lost their lives during such a tragic heartbreaking case, and to the evil wicked lowlife poor excuse for a murdering whatever who took poor Leslie's life, may you rot in hell eternally......🔥🔥🔥🔥

@@MrLondonGo I wasnt meaning to be rude, Sir, so dont take any offence to what I wrote, it's very sad that these awful crimes take place, and especially when it concerns an innocent child who loses her life, such as Leslie Molseed, amongst many others, 1 wrongly convicted man, and a family who lost their daughter, and had to endure the pain twice, after 1 man was rightfully cleared of all charges, but he passed away without getting any compensation for the time spent in an institution, what a sad miscarriage of justice, but at least the right person in now rotting in his prison cell for life, although sometimes I do controversially believe that prison is far too good and easy for despicable people as such....

@@joshuaedwards4536 I don't know how British people, can live, with the knowlage of how absolutely rotten the "british justice" system was/is. @@topbanana4128 agreed, how it's actually classed as "justice" is beyond my mental abilities to take in, surely if there's NO sufficient true genuine untampered with evidence (DNA or whatever) then yes that can be used, but in such high profile cases, as the ones that have been mentioned on this forum here, where was the evidence, what did it consist of, where were the witness and how credible were they, and the evidence they submitted, something stinks real bad about a lot of these cases, and the words "fitted up" tend to come to mind......

Castree didn't ruin the life of Stefan Kiszko, West Yorkshire Police did. Their incompetence and withholding evidence is not acceptable. Those in charge should have been sacked. A new police force should have led the second investigation. How on earth the original investigating officers did is beyond comprehension.

The West Yorkshire Police must have known Stefan Kiszko was innocent of this crime, he was afforded no representation until he’d been forced to sign a prepared statement. Those responsible for this miscarriage of justice were a disgrace to their uniform. Less than a month after Lesley’s abduction, The Yorkshire Ripper killed Wilma McCann in Leeds and the same force, failed to apprehend him for 5 years. Detective Inspector Dick Holland was involved in both these cases, corrupt in the first (he was charged with perjury in 1994 for suppressing the results of the semen sample comparisons exonerating Kiszko), incompetent in the second.

The fact that Ronald Castree was not an immediate suspect for Lesley's murder is BEYOND strange. He had a prior conviction for child abduction, lived on the same estate and drove that very distinctive car... He was seen by 2 witnesses WITH Lesley and had no alibi because his wife was in the hospital with a DVT after giving birth a week before. Was it that his family had money? The only thing I can think of was the detective, who also screwed up the Yorkshire ripper case was also lead detective on the Moleseed case.

Any murder is awful, a child's murder especially horrific. But it's so heartbreaking when those murdered have overcome life threatening illness or trauma & thrived, only to have their precious lives so cruelly taken by monsters. I've watched a number of uploads recently where that has been the case & it saddens & angers me so. The second tragedy in this case is that an innocent man had so much of his precious life taken from him too. It should never have happened, & again, it's something I've seen time & time again thanks to the uploaders to YT. It's something that cannot be ignored & things must change. Take care everyone xxx

May I offer my heartfelt condolences to the family of Lesley Molseed, RIP. And, if ever there was a living Saint, it HAS to be the forebearing Mr Stefan Kiszko who was the victim of purposely suppressed critical evidence which it has been proved, led to his conviction. Kiszko would have been relentlessly reviled and targetted emotionally and physically in prison as the lowest of the low, when in fact, he was a pure as the driven snow. Those torturous 16 years Kiszko (and his poor mother, Charlotte Kiszko) endured have not begun to be redressed adequately by the State ever since, or by Society's collective conscious - despite paedophile Ronald Castree being charged for the offences in 2006 through a DNA match. DO YOU AGREE that Beatification should begin without delay (Kiszko loved going to church every Sunday) with any associated costs being met by the State's financial compensation award made to Kiszko (present day equivalent of the 1992 award of £500,000) but which he died before receiving? Please LIKE and SHARE if you wish to help DO something to reignite the perpetual memory of the innocent, vulnerable, blameless and truly holy soul that was Stefan Kiszko. Kiszko's conviction has been described as 'THE WORST MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE OF ALL TIME'. Further detailed information can be found at: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Lesley_Molseed

1. Raymond Hewlett murdered Lesley Molseed. Raymond Hewlett owned a GPO Van and admitted to buying it in Glasgow. Raymond Hewlett knew friends of Danny Molseed, Lesley's father. 2. Raymond Hewlett's girlfriend said he was driving his van where Lesley Molseed went missing on the same day. Raymond Hewlett fled England a few days after Lesley Molseed was murdered. 3. The police framed both Stefan Kiszko and Ronald Castree to protect Raymond Hewlett. 4. The forensic expert who claimed the DNA matched Ronald Castree is the same person who framed Stefan Kiszko by hiding evidence that would have cleared him. 5. The forensic expert in question is called Ronald Outeridge. Ronald Outeridge was the same forensic expert that claimed the hoax tape was from the Yorkshire Ripper. 6. Both Ronald Outeridge and Raymond Hewlett were friends of Jimmy Savile. ...I hope this helps.

Jacob field. No it does NOT help one little bit. Raymond Hewlett was a vile individual, with convictions for rapes and sexual assaults, but his DNA was taken by the cold case investigation team and found to be no match. When Ronald Castree was arrested for an offence he committed in the naughties, hid DNA was automatically taken and found to be a match. And thus HE was proven conclusively to be Leslie's killer. Stop spouting so much drivel!

There was a lot going on with the real offender, Ronald Castree, and Rochdale. It seems that Castree himself had been sexually abused by his father. Ronald Castree's son later came forward and said that his grandfather had also sexually abused him and that the grandfather had also had a previous conviction for sexually abusing a child many years ago. Ronald Castree himself was a violent, bad tempered man and it's believed that he may have been part of a local paedophile ring. Given that this was Rochdale, it wouldn't be surprising. This was the era in which Cyril Smith was the local MP and was abusing kids. The recent inquiry in historical child sex abuse (IICSA) also found that toilets in Rochdale town centre had been a pick up point for paedophiles all over the North West and Yorkshire to get kids. Many of the kids were from the local care homes where Cyril Smith had been offending. The kids were often trafficked into Manchester.

The plight of Stefan Kiszko was almost as tragic, and dare I say, criminal, as tragic as the murder of this poor little girl. He was an easy target who had learning difficulties and the police knew this. He was bullied into a confession, being told that him if he admitted the offence, he could go home to his mum. Sadly, both Stefan and his mother died shortly after his release and never got real justice for what he went through. To be innocent, have the capacity of a child, and then be jailed as a wrongly convicted child molester and murderer is about as horrendous as ordeal he could've possibly endured. I hope wherever Stefan is, he is at peace with his mum. 🙏

Question here... I read the little girl had some mental disability... delayed development from her early heart problem that resulted in her being mentally about 4 years old despite her 11 years... from oxygen deprivation before she was able to have her surgery, I assume. That being the case, was it normal to send such a child on a walk to a store alone? (Not because she was incapable of performing a useful task, but due to her perceived vulnerability of mind.) Understand, please, I'm a 60s American child myself, allowed to freely run about within certain bounds (be back by dinnertime, not going out after dark) and go ride my bike and so on and those times were very different and relaxed and I don't like asking this question, but... even back then, I can't picture a mom having a child with that kind of disability walking a few blocks or so to a store and back by herself. Was it just so much more provincial and gentleminded in that region in those days, and therefore just considered normal social functioning for this child, to be helping her mother and having her turn on the rotation (rota) with the other sibs? I am not judging this mom, poor woman, heaven knows she sounds a sweet fine mom like any. I am just trying to understand the norms of the time. Some things that shock millennial parents now, we routinely did back then and no one thought twice about it...

As an adoptive mum to two 'disabled' children all I can tell you is defining a childs intellectual abilities by saying they are 3,5,7,11 years old is utter nonsense. We may say that a typical 3 year old can count up to ten. If a child learns to count up to ten only when they're 9 or 10 that sure means they are delayed but it certainly doesn't mean their brain is that of a 3yo. Lesley obviously knew how to pick up some small thing from the local market. She'd done it before. Sending an 11 year old who has some health issues down the shops is not like sending off a toddler...

@@AiRiOLaLa Both shows were on the BBC, so you're probably right. Live and Kicking was a kid's show, which used to have the number sang in a really memorable way. So much so I still remember 30+ years later.

TRIVIA FACT: He was so big because of his lack of Testosterone. Sexual hormones stop the growth spurt of Teenagers. A friend of mine would perfectly fit to the description of his body and mind, he has XXY-Chromosomes.

Im technically hypogonadism but the guy 2ho saw me at hospital had no knowledge, no accurate knowledge of this condition, I took in the paperwork printed off Internet and from a world renowned researcher base at the same hospital, I got a partial, androgen deficiency Dx instead The researcher told me who to see at hospital gp agreed as she knew her, sadly for me she was on maternity leave and I got 85 year old who didn't specialise in sexual issues with hormones But I refused testosterone as I said what if it makes me too active and not able yo. Control myself sexually or become violent to people I just wanted another piece of my autism adhd puzzle solved

so very sad a loss of more than one life it left his mother ill and him a shell of himself the irrefutable proof of his innocence was there from the start but the coppers just wanted to put someone behind bars for the crime so seeing a weak feeble person they just used him he was defenseless to fight them. thankfully his mother kept on fighting long after everyone even her sister had begged her to stop paying for her health. it was wonderful at last one person listened to her and found the answers that everyone else could not be bothered to. it is a heartbreaking story and in the end there were no winners I am glad that this crime was solved as it was an awful murder but an innocent man should never have been held responsible

In my mind, the West Yorkshire Police are knobheads. They came to me about a murder and how they approached was so unprofessional. I was interviewed by 3 separate police forces. The I did not mind because, given the evidence they had at the time, I too, would have called and interviews me. Luckily, they got the guy and jailed him for life. He confessed to the murders.
