The Marina Case had been solved in early 2022 the man was called Sandip Patel he was 21 when he had murdered her. He was only sentenced to 19 years!

The young lady wasn’t English (French) and whilst she realised something was wrong was scared stiff. It does happen “paralysed by fear” - pity she didn’t act.

@ Very true. If I’d been in France I’m not sure I’d have pulled an emergency cord . Poor girl has received over the years a lot of criticism. She must have been petrified. The biggest shame is the perpetrator might have been caught. I used the same line from Bromley South many times (always tried for the fast train but wasn’t always successful !!) but I recall my parents telling me never get in single compartments!!!!

He's Martin Gibbs. He was convicted of the murder the following year and was given a life sentence, which he's still serving. He had a string of convictions for violence, including stabbing his girlfriend.

33:30 would the police already be on to this before waiting for the SIO? seems like valuable time wasted if not. detectives shouldn't be waiting for seniors to tell them the job..!
