How dodgy does the jag kidnap sound?. First time he breaks his routine for lunch he gets kidnapped. Why did he drive four miles away to go to a fish and chip shop?. He just happened to fall asleep after eating. He had the forethought to take most of his cash and credit cards out of his wallet and hide them behind the spare wheel not many people would think of doing that at a time like that. There just happened to be a tool kit in the boot that he could use to undo the screws that held the boot latch on, and the only way he found the toolkit in the dark boot is because the kidnappers didn't switch the lights of properly and the boot light stayed on.Why would they be switching the lights on in broad daylight?. This may all be coincidence but if i worked for the police i would be asking him a few more questions.

John Cooper was on Bullseye That's how the police knew it was him who killed the Dixon's because of a description by a member of the public whilst he was standing at a cadh machine using Mr Dixon's CashCard. It was a complete match the way he was standing. Also their daughters DNA was in a pair of shorts which Mrs Dixon was wearing which Cooper had kept as a type of trophy. It's all really a rather strange affair and I suspect information online about this crime is very thin on the ground.
@andrasteoz4 жыл бұрын
@@MrGazMac there are some articles on the British Newspaper Archive but you need a subscription to see them. Turns out the victim was a victim after all. Liverpool Echo Friday 12 January 1990: "Christopher Medland. 21. and his brother lan, 20, both unemployed of Meadow Drive, Barnton, Northwich, admitted kidnapping Mr Frew on September 11, possession of an imitation semiautomatic handgun, and robbery. Mold Crown Court heard how their arrests came about following a dramatic television reconstruction on the BBC's Crimewatch UK programme, when actors relived Mr Frew's ordeal. A third defendant, James Robert Goodier Fisher, 53, a chef of Mersey Street, Preston, who gave a false alibi for one of the brothers and who drove them back from North Wales, admitted impeding arrest and attempting to pervert the course of justice." The brothers got four years youth detention and the alibi bloke got a 12-month sentence suspended for 8 months.

It didn’t say anything about them not allowed to drive them, back then it would have been weird to see someone dressed in casual clothes, young and driving a car that costs a lot of money especially a jag
@LosAngelesRaiders10 ай бұрын
Like what @Thenorthsace said, the 1980s was a very different time to now. Jaguars were often owned/run by older gentlemen or suit 'n' tie wearing top execs so those were the kind of people you saw driving Jags. A similar comment on other Crimewatch programmes were often made. I remember a last witness stating that she saw 4 scruffy looking guys in a then-brand new Vauxhall GSi which she thought was unusual. It just was then. People didn't have feeling to go out looking scruffy if you reached a certain pinnacle of life. These days it's not unusual to see young or scruffier looking people in brand-new cars as new cars are much easier to obtain by anyone. It wasn't so easy then.

I would surmise that it was a husband and wife team . Her minimal involvement , just driving the second leg of the getaway. I would think he has worked for Group 4 , a clean record but knows a few faces . She probably has family in the area of the robbery and stayed with them during the week running up to the robbery. Almost certainly they are still together living in Essex . I hope they got enough to pay of their mortgage and raise their children well .
