@@flamboyentpromotions3471 I’m not gonna lie I made a friend or 2 when I was in there. Some of those guys are good guys who just got caught up in a bad situation. My best friend while I was on the inside was the only other gay dude on the deck. Thank god we wound up together cuz it made the time go by so much quicker just to be able to talk to someone who gets you. I mean I was really close friends with this guy. He’d even call my mom after I’d gotten out and I was in rehab (condition of me getting out) She liked him a lot. He finally got the same deal as me after working so hard to get it and sadly immediately relapsed. Like he couldn’t even complete the treatment he immediately found a way to get Xanax and meth and in the recovery home spilled Xanax everywhere. Got kicked out. Called me saying cars were following him. Now I’ve never done meth. But everyone knows that shit makes you instantly nuts. He denied doing meth but I finally got him to admit it when he was telling me his paranoid delusions. And he goes “fine I did a little meth like 3 days ago” and I responded “when’s the last time you slept?” “Like 3 days ago” yeah exactly. And after that he disappeared. As of now idk his fate. But it really made me sad. He was actually a good person but his drug of choice was one that instantly fucks with your head.

The making connections in jail rarely works, you can learn a lot for sure, but not make good connections. What no one ever talks about is that for at least a couple weeks after someone is released the cops will keep an eye on them in case they try and get back into the game. Which means they'll keep track of anyone else associating with them. I once visited an acquaintance who was in jail on drug charges because he had no visitors, just to give him some hope. A month later I saw an unmarked cop hanging around outside my house for 2 weeks and occasionally following me. I discovered later that this guy got bailed out and ran, so the cops where looking for anyone connected to him that might be harboring him. Because I was on record as being a visitor I was put on that list of possible associates.

I was unknowingly friends with this older guy in Aspen who turned out to be a pretty big dealer. In hindsight I should have known but the whole two years I hung out with him I had no idea. He got busted with a couple kilos AND over $150k cash both in his car simultaneously. By the Feds, not Aspen PD. His name was Wayne so when he was arraigned all his buddies and customers had an “A-Wayne-ment” party before he went away. He had Rod Blagojevich as a cellmate for a while. All the major coke dealers in Aspen at that time (2006-2009) were in their 70’s so the Feds referred to them as the “Over the Hill Gang”.

The risk to reward ratio is insane. If you learn how to code for example, it won't take long to make 100k. You work that job for 20 years (and doing a really really bad job at it) you will easily clear 2 million. Or get a quick 100k and get caught and lose out on 20 years of your life. It's so hard to imagine taking that kind of risk--especially with my luck all I have to do is sneeze and I'll get a ticket.

The higher the fewer. It is such a true line. The higher you get the more alone you are. The more you are dependent upon money to buy what you need as in companionship, friends and such. Reason is the higher you are, the less people you can trust. You must buy your things then dispose of them like yesterdays Medicare part c junk mail. Like Bruce said, always looking over your shoulder.

Particularly my one attorney "Paul Kelly" he used to tell me... "what is wrong with you"..."why are you in here again"..."you're smarter than this"..."you're better than this" He was one public defender that fought for any kid, cuz he knew once that kid got sent up... his life was over!!!

*The U.S. criminal justice system:* 1| The U.S. has the world's highest incarceration rate. 2| The U.S. also has the world's largest prison population. 3| As such, the U.S has just 4% of the world's population, yet it holds almost 25% of the world's prisoners. 4| While the U.S. has less than a quarter of the population of Communist China, the U.S. has more people in prison. 5| Nowhere on Earth does a person have a greater chance of going to prison, _and staying there longer,_ than right here in the Land of the Free.

I've watched "Banged Up Abroad" and it can be absolutely brutal. Foreign jails can be much worse than US or UK jails. The jail in Mexico was run by the gangs, not by the prison guards. Bangkok Hilton, the drama, is available to watch on KZbin and that is brutal as well, because it is an automatic death penalty if you're found with enough drugs to be a dealer - and execution was by machine gun to the heart. The executioner said that people didn't die straightaway sometimes. They've changed to lethal injection now, the executioner (in a documentary) said he preferred it because he didn't have to deal with people moaning in pain before they died and having to deal with a very bloody body afterwards. Don't smuggle drugs, kids.

I love ur advice at the end. I watch a lot of true crime documentaries. I just can't imagine doing these crazy things. Since I was in my early 20s, I have always valued peace of mind over everything else. I can't imagine having to look over my shoulder or wait for the cops to bust down my door. I am not rich, money wise, but I would not trade my life and peace of mind for any amount of money.

Bruce, could you cover the 2017 Delphi, Indiana double homicide and the recent arrest of Richard Allen in connection with this case? It would be helpful if you could discuss the charge of "felony murder" in the state of Indiana - for example, the bearing of Palmer v. State on the interpretation of the Indiana statute on felony murder and how it bears on the Delphi case. And in the light of all that, it would be great if you could give an evaluation of the the evidence presented in the probable cause affidavit, both in relation to "probable cause" (for the arrest) and "beyond reasonable doubt" (for eventual conviction). There seems to be a lot of disagreement about this case among True Crime enthusiasts and lawyers alike. Thanks!

Glad BR did this video. All of a sudden this Johnny Mitchell character started popping up all over KZbin. I listened to one of his episodes and it sounded like every single other traffickers stories but with what seemed like major inflation and drama added. Then I find out the guy is a comedian by trade and that’s when I said yeah nah this is alllllllll embellished story telling 100% fiction. Plus he said on the Koncrete podcast I believe that “he discovered the algorithm that KZbin wanted and exploited it”…that’s loosely quoted by the way. That’s all I have to say about this clown…I mean guy.

That’s where he’s wrong. Jail is the worst place. You keep your mouth shut in county and don’t talk about your case at all. Also his videos start to not make sense. A: how did he do his time at an Oregon prison and not a USP when it was a federal case? B: in county federal detainees are in their own pod awaiting trial.

@@DoctorProph3t know what I’m saying is he wouldn’t have done his time in a state prison if he was convicted of a Fed case. He would’ve been in a USP. So he claims it was a federal case but then he did his time in the Oregon DOC. It doesn’t work that way. As far as state and fed both are horrible. Both are violent. A little bit of a difference is in the feds you’re dealing with a higher caliber of criminal so usually there’s kind of more structure but you’re still at risk and both are violent unless you’re on a camp like where Martha Stewart went lol

I already had roughly the amount of time I would get if caught and I had my lawyers number always in my cupholder and wallet laminated and ready to grab... if you can do something else with your life even better because its not easy or fun if ya wanna do it right
