@@mycrazylife408 Sure did at his age, mind you this is almost 30yrs ago. I'm sure everyone has driven drunk at one point on their life. Where the stupidity comes in young man is the fact that in 2021, there literally is no reason for it, especially in his situation. He's in Vegas si you can alcohol anytime so let's just say he left the club on his last drink, and hopped in a car. Dint know is you've ever drive a car that fast, it doesn't get there immediately and a better is still going to take more than 1/4 to reach 157. Throw out the alcohol all together, 157, residential, with his girlfriend at 330 in the morning, you know....the time where visibility is very low. Throw in you have a loaded firearm, which illegal to have..when you're drunk. Oh and I don't know if you knew this or not, the NFL has a ride sharing service for its players...for free...24/7, which they are advised if in rookie orientation. All of that, now you're on your way to being an NFL superstar, you're a millionaire and you just thrown it all away...and there's that other detail that he killed someone who had nothing to do with the circumstances leading to her death. Im telling you now, he does everything the same, kills himself and no one else, i say stupid as stupid does, at least no one else got hurt. But as the usual case it, the driver usually lives and someone else dies. That's what all these comments are about. Please stop arguing like a woman off of emotion and just argue the facts.

When I was just freshly born, my father was driving home with his friends (under the influence). He was 15 yards from the house, coming down a hill when the vehicle caught on ice and it hit a tree (and it wasn’t going anymore than 30 mph). Well the impact didn’t kill his best friend, but his best friend had his window rolled down and the impact caused his head to go out the window and caught the tree and ripped his face off, and he died later on in the hospital. And the 2nd passenger just so happened to be the victims little brother. And well my dad was originally charged with vehicular homicide, but it got dropped to manslaughter, but he still sat 9 years for it. My fathers late best friend’s wife and kids have forgave my father and love my father and know it was an accident and that it could’ve been any of them driving, but my father was.

This to me, is a case about Rugg's just having a compulsive addiction for driving fast for a adrenaline rush. As the video from 2020 (I think) showing him driving down the Vegas street at a very high rate of speed testing out the different driving modes of his C8 Vette with his girlfriend telling him to slow down as she take a video of it for her KZbin channel. This accident was just waiting to happen wither he was drinking of not! Driving that fast over the speed limit, your reaction time is decreased significantly and when you add alcohol it decreases it even more. He probably didn't drive this fast because he was drunk that night, this is how he probably drove when he needed that adrenaline rush and wanting to show off...................JMO

Also gotta factor in the breaking speed it will take to deccelerate from going 100+ miles and its typically between 50-120 meters you travel before a complete stop so even if he did try to slow down that night he still would have collided into her causing massive trauma and harm
