Von's music and MANY others is an eye opening testimony of the violence, turmoil, and anguish of Poor segregated communities. His music along with his peers and opps music should be studied. Not by law enforcement but by social scientists, psychologists, and doctor's. Only in hopes to truly understand the complexity of these situations. And to figure out a solution to these problems in modern, segregated, impoverished communities.

6:22 I really appreciate your understanding and appreciation for black women but as a young black girl (16) I can tell you that a lot of these dudes moms encourage it and think it's cute. My little cousin Z'z mom was encouraging him to join the same gang that got his dad murdered (My cousin Mann who wanted to do better to give his son a better life was killed infront of his mom's house in the middle of the night). What really killed me and my mom is that they put a red bandana in his pocket to symbolize the street life he was trying to get away from before he died. It would be better if they put down the guns and as fathers stopped putting him in their young son's hands and instead encouraged them to do better in school. There's no reason why black women are the most educated demographic in the nation above white men with business that are thriving and or male counterparts are still behind us. If there are any black men and boys reading this take more pride in your education and we could at least get to a better place as a community economically.
