I would like to thank Amber for choosing her lawyers, I’d like to take this time to thank her lawyer who objected to his own question whilst taking testimony from one of Ambers witnesses. And finally like to take the opportunity to thank Elaine who wasn’t a full set of tools before she took Amber on. I can only hope she’s still sane.

Johnny not being in court was the right move. He was there for the entirety but once it went to the jury for deliberation and there was nothing more he could do, he immediately continued to live his life. MESSAGE: I'm not going to let you (Amber) steal any more of my life with your craziness. Johnny has things to do and places to go. Amber has nothing better to do but try to rout out more publicity. So happy Johnny wasn't there to have to be physically near her. Done and over!!!

Finally a genuine expression of sadness on Amber Heard’s face. Definitely not faking her reaction now. She single-handedly set back the momentum gained by the MeToo movement and all survivors of abuse. The worst part is that it never had to happen. Amber Heard received $7 M, tax-free and all she had to do was take the money and walk away. But, she couldn’t keep her mouth shut and wanted to get her 15 minutes of fame. Well, now she’s the most hated woman in the world. #MenToo! #JusticeForJohnny
@macmcleod1188
@macmcleod1188 2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I agree it will hurt #MeToo. I've already seen some conservative sites pushing that. But I prefer that it simply hold people accountable to *evidence* again instead of convicting the party who accuses second when there is no evidence. The main thing was there was suspect photographic evidence and suspiciously missing medical evidence and massive evidence that Amber was lying... often. I relate the ruling more to vengeful liars than to #metoo.

Depp has his chapter closed but I really don't think the book is finished yet - and if she was willing to use abuse as her toys and find witnesses and expert testimonies to back her up, she's not beneath mitigating her culpability through mental health.

I think the despondent posture is the first authentic emotion we have seen from Amber throughout this case. The breathing changes. We then see her disassociate a bit, probably retreating into her head before finally realizing she needs to "perk up" for the cameras. Really, for once, her expressions seem real and it's almost a relief to see some humanity in her even if what we are seeing is the natural result of the "relief" of no longer sustaining a lie, even if just for a moment. Even if what we are seeing is the natural behavior of someone disappointed in her selfish and harmful goals, at least it's real. Imo.

During the trial, AH lost credibility repeatedly and to such an extent that I thought the Judge might stop the proceeding and have her psychologically evaluated for her capacity to differentiate the truth from the false perception she was stating - all under oath. I hoped she would be charged with perjury, otherwise the world has seen someone lie under oath with no penalty. You said that some of her lies were proveable; please tell me that someone is going to follow this up with charges of perjury. Or has perjury become normalized?

Perjury is prosecuted in criminal cases only when the lies under oath can send an innocent to a jail. In civil cases the lies lead to money and reputation loss. This is why the jury put a punitive charge for 5 millions on her. This is fair. She will lose more money and reputation as well.

The judge automatically starts an investigation against you and everyone around is sure you're liar. As a result, you go to jail for two years though initially the case was about $100. Would you be OK with that? Perjury is usually not punished because: 1. The expenses for the system will be much more than damage. 2. as a narc abuse survivor, this verdict is everything. this is why everyone is so interested in this case: this type of abuse happens to every kind of person, and it's always the same. as difficult as this trial was to listen to at times, hearing the details was oddly comforting: due to the amount of gaslighting and manipulation that goes on in these types of relationship dynamics, it validates *everything* we know we experienced and it validates *everything* that we escaped from. this is huge.

Wanted to let you know that one of the jurors spoke out on TikTok about the amount that they awarded Johnny Depp. He said that a few of the jurors, including himself, wanted to give him the full $50 million but they had to compromise on the amount so it would be a unanimous decision. That’s also why Amber won 1 of the judgements because there wasn’t proof that her & her friends did rough the place up & because the second call to 911 wasn’t put into evidence they couldn’t draw any conclusions on it. They didn’t believe Amber Heard, according to him.

I have always thought that allowing television cameras into the law courts was not a good idea. I have changed my mind. I am from the U.K. and now hope that some court cases will be televised. Often judgements by judges have been shockingly controversial and against the publics perception of the case. Not having seen the case, and relying on second hand opinions, not always truthful, has made us suspicious of our judiciary. Having watched this J.P. Vs A.P. case we were right to be suspicious. An opinion was formed by a judge reacting to the MeTo movement. We need tv in our courts. Keep them honest.

Mog it's JD and Amber Heard. They are divorced. His last name is Depp. It was a sad and shocking story of a man loving a woman who cared less for him. I got a lump in my throat a few times and had a cry and tears for his pain and sufferings at her hands. Then Johnny gave us his sense of humour, and made us all laugh....his quick whitt and remarks were the best. But seeing him cry, and his pain got me crying too. We know who've been there that pain. I'm glad it's over for him. What I will say though, is, I think Johnny should look at requesting all but the court case be removed from the internet. It's not right to have it rubbed in his face for the rest of his life what he was treated like. It just beings it all back. Who needs those shocking memories. Bruce Rivers, I just want to give a big thank you and please know that I wouldn't have appreciated the court case, had it not been for you. There's something more that you would really appreciate : I invite my young kids to sit and watch your channel with me because the ease and clarity, by which your message has been delivered, has made it a joy for them to learn. It has been such a pleasure and it's certainly so memorable. You're awesome !!!. Take care & cheers.

Keep up the great work Bruce. I find that you have messed me up in a sense that I try to find the same or similar quality videos from other lawyers and have found very few. And now I demand alimony in the form of more great videos providing a wealth of knowledge and know-how to support my new lifestyle of coming across your channel. Thank you again

As the 10k “winner” of a civil lawsuit, I never saw a nickel of the judgement. The other party found it cheaper to just declare bankruptcy and I still had to pay my lawyer. But I won by golly. Johnny will have the same satisfaction.

Ugh, how annoying. Glad you won your case, but I imagine that a lot of losing parties declare bankruptcy to avoid paying out damages.

Winning is one thing, collecting is another. My friend's sister was drunk driving and put a motorcyclist in a wheelchair the rest of his life. He sued and won a 32 million judgement. A record in my state. But she's a part time massage therapist so its like trying to squeeze water from a stone. If someone smashes you up with their car, you want it to be Mark Zuckerberg or Elon Musk.

And just like Amber twisting it to say she meant that it was absurd for JD to claim DV when he was the abuser (eye rolling into the back of my head) Jodi Arias twisted it to say she had planned to end her life prior to trial so she couldn't be found guilty.....always have a comeback or excuse for every dumb thing they say. Their personality is built on finding ways to excuse their horrible behavior.

My wife and I have totally loved your comments about this trial. You share professional knowledge and wonderful insights on lots of things that most of us are not aware of. Several years ago, I ended up being the foreperson on a jury in a criminal case. The defendant was accused of sexually molesting an 8-year-old. Testimony took a week. We deliberated for two hours and got to 11 to one in favor of convicting. It took another 4 hours to reach unanimity to convict. I realized that the holdout was possibly in favor of convicting but was frustrated with the peer pressure to get on board. It's quite a story how we reached concensus. I'm pretty proud of how I handled this. The night after the trial, I came home and cried for a long time. Partly because of the weight of it all, but mostly because I realized that I was the one who mostly led us to convict, and I knew that beyond reasonable doubt doesn't mean no doubt. It was a heavy burden. I love so much about your insights. I look forward to hearing more from you!

Because it was a civil trial and not a criminal trial. Most courts don't have or want to spend the resources on it, which I think sets poor precedence. There is an inkling of hope that because the Aussies take perjury far more seriously there than here in America she will be charged for her bringing in the pups illegally. Johnny told her to leave the dogs at home, but she wouldn't listen. Imagine that.🙄

Because there's a process involved. IF a prosecutor was interested, they'd need to subpoena the evidence, review it, send it to the grand jury, do another round of depositions. The minimum amount of time it would take is something between 3-6 months.

As I heard from a livestream, perjury is only prosecuted when it benefits the state. The prosecutor will only spend time to do it if they need to in criminal trials basically, or they use it to get reelected.

Bruce, love what you do, and on the off chance you do read this, since you specifically asked- there is one thing I've I've looking for on KZbin that I can't find very much of. Can you do some stuff looking at the interrogation or trial of innocent people? As much as I love snarky videos dunking on criminals and liars, I'd be really interested to see your perspective on people who could have gone down for something they didn't do, and how they or their legal team made the right moves and got them off. Thanks on behalf of me and I'm sure many of your viewers for all you do! Peace and love.

Did you know that you appeared on the Asmongold KZbin channel? Both issued statements afterwards, Johnny's was lovely and thanked everyone whereas AH was full of whines about her mountains of evidence and Freedom of Speech. Here in the UK, our cases are not televised so this has been fascinating to watch.
