This has got to be one of JJ's best moments. Chick just scolded a serial killer into submission.

Just watched this for the first time and when JJ said "they aren't supposed to be the cause of your pain" I bawled....growing up in abusive family really messed me up and hearing her say this was like her talking to me. Never cried this hard for a TV show before...
@sool472 жыл бұрын
Me too. I cried so hard at this. The whole "moms aren't supposed to be the cause of your pain they're supposed to make it go away". Such a beautiful and heartbreaking speech. We know he's a monster but the kid WAS innocent and needed help he never got. Really wish parents would actually think the way JJ thinks. So many parents are the cause of our pain.

I think J.J. did good with the situation, she was very calm and she didn’t act judgmental about Flynn’s wrong doings.
@myrixica42222 жыл бұрын
AJ Cook and Tim Curry nailed it with this, She was the perfect embodiment of a loving mother in this moment and he was the perfect embodiment of a scared child in the body of an emotionally broken man being spoken to with... love, for what is possibly the first time in his entire life.
@DorvellTStewart4 жыл бұрын
“You can choose teaching her that yes, there are monsters and it’s OK to be afraid of them, but it’s not OK to let them win and it’s not OK to be one.“ Best line of this speech, and that’s saying something. While JJ neither empathized nor sympathized with him, rightly so, that was probably the first time in Billy‘s life that he Felt, what’s the right word for it, heard?

I've nicknamed her the lovely JJ over the years. Most people think I just mean how lovely she always looks but I mainly mean how lovely she is on the inside. She always puts her heart into the cases she chose to present to the team as the press liaison. As a mom she always wants to love and protect Henry. As a girlfriend/wife she always showed Will just how much he meant to her. As a friend she was always there for a member of the team who was having a hard time especially Reid and Garcia. And when she returned as a profiler she fought more to save the lives of the innocent especially children from the guilty and corrupt. When JJ was made God threw away the mold!

I know that the Academy Awards are not for TV shows, but AJ Cook and Tim Curry should have received one for this. The craziest thing about this is that the first time I watched this the acting of Tim Curry was so good that I didn't even realized that he was the actor and I just saw "Billy Flynn" the serial killer.
