Uh yeah, cause I'm still not over this betrayal and the show is over ok? Prentice didn't think her friends were DEAD, so mourning 6 was a bit dramatic, and JJ would have let Reid use again. 10 WEEKS? I was definitely on Spencer's side especially when he called JJ Jennifer and hated her for a little bit when she made the comment that his profiling skills failed him because he couldn't read Aaron or her. What really should have made them feel guilty was if he had relapsed and gone back to using Dilaudid again as a result of their lies. It sucked that they didn't let Spencer be mad at them longer although I did love the Heid moment that we got where Spencer told Aaron he couldn't be mad at him as he didn't show up to his home crying for 10 weeks.

I just watched the episode again and it still amazes me that JJ expected Reid to just forgive her like nothing happened. “Hey I was hoping to do brunch this weekend, even though Hotch and I lied to you for 10 months but let’s act like everything is cool between us.” They played with this kids emotions knowing that he was still feeling the loss even after Prentiss came back. In my opinion, this beef with Reid and the team should’ve lasted like another couple of episodes.

Morgan had dealt with a significant death of a family member so maybe knowing that someone had come back was easier for him to accept than it was for Reid. @@fundur2816 I do see how both of them are in the wrong, but Reid did have somewhat of a point. If he did go back on his drug addiction they wouldn't have done anything not even J.J since they all knew what he was going through the first time and did nothing. But the way JJ acted like she was in the right all the time and always shut down Reid for getting angry, showing he isn't aloud to be angry at something they couldn't avoid and couldn't tell made me mad. Yes, they didn't tell anyone, but getting angry at Reid of all people (which this always makes me think he might be on the spectrum of how he acts. I love this series and I know their intentions was to protect Emily but anyone who went "Off Grid" because of personal trauma of a past life... You should never abandon your friends from your new life and handle your dark past alone with old friends from your past. Spencer Reid was betrayed indefinitely and had every right to be mad at JJ because She and Hotch were in on it and she have the nerve to go after him by his profiling skills, he trusted her with his life and could've went to his Dilaudid addiction again but the real pain was the fact that JJ, Hotch, and Emily claimed that "they had no choice" Everyone has as choice but; Prentiss: She chosed to take on her dark past alone which followed back home. Hotch: Made the decision to stage her death and hid it from their team. JJ: Kept it from the one person that who trusted her, and she attacked claiming that Spencer "couldn't manage our perception so you couldn't detect our deception" If I was Reid I would go ballistic telling her what said but I would be claiming that Prentiss is dead and that stranger is talking to Derek is not her. I would also mad at everyone else thinking how can they live on thinking they could move on but I won't. They might say "Sorry" loudly and consistently as they want, I don't know if I could but I will never forget!!

They also didn’t let the anger and disgust and the issue of this gaping hurt the team long enough. I’d be mad, disgusted, sad, etc etc etc and it would take me some time to figure it out. All while wrestling with the fact that I was lied to and should be angry but also my friend is still alive… that would fuck with me for some time. Hell it happened to hailey and jack during the reaper section. This was no different. Everyone is just pissed off because unlike hailey, Emily didn’t really die. You all know how much JJ cares for Reid. They are best friends for god sake. We know if she could tell him she would. But to keep one friend safe yes she had to lie. I agree JJ shouldn’t have said what she did but she’s also frustrated. I was upset with what happened but I also understood why. Yes I agree with this. He has a right to be upset, but ppl need to stop being so mad at JJ bc she and hotch did what they had to do to keep her safe. It was a sucky situation all around but it had to be done. I understand what she said wasn’t the best but to be honest he should’ve put that aside just for a bit and worked the case instead of making passive aggressive comments while on the job. I would be frustrated too. And the thing about the dialudid wasn’t right to say either in my opinion too bc it was like he was essentially guilt tripping her as to say well if u would’ve told me I wouldn’t have thought about it so it’s your fault I almost did which isn’t really fair bc she already still feels survivor’s guilt over the Tobias situation. So I say that to say that his feelings are justify but ppl gotta stop being so harsh on JJ as well. And spoilers but I’m happy in season 13 he acknowledged what JJ and hotch had to do for Emily when Emily had to do the same thing for him in a way when he went to prison

I don't think JJ's the bad guy for doing what she felt she needed to do to keep Emily safe and I don't think Reid's the bad guy for feeling hurt and betrayed by her choices. The only thing I am critical of is the way Reid handles the situation. He has the right to feel hurt and angry, and he has the right to take space from JJ if that's what he needs but taking pot shots at her while they're trying to their job was unfair.

THIS!!!! He’s an FBI agent and while they’re human they need to maintain a professional attitude while they’re in the field. If he kept his comments to Quantico or the hotel sure that wouldn’t be a problem. The issue is he took those pot shots in the field.

A lot of people commenting here clearly have no idea what it’s like to work in any kind of military/secret service. There’s some secrets that must be kept even from operatives when dealing with a major incident. They have a right to be annoyed but the decision made was not to hurt or antagonise them, but to protect them

The argument of losing six friends to Reid’s one makes no sense… she knew they were alive where as Reid was lead to believe she was dead.. it’s not an equivalence.. it’s like they are saying to Reid.. your anger is not real or justified….

Gods the acting was strong then eh? The way hotch immediately just lays it out on the table no beating around the bush or sugar coating. Morgans little stutter step once he processes all the information. Reids subtle and almost hurt phrasing and Garcias eyes ughhh just so many fucking actors doing their job damn good. Rossi sitting and processing while also watching everyone else. And when Morgan issues, yeah i got issues. God i dont think any other regular show will compare

Reid acted like a child, instead of a highly trained FBI agent. This was done for Emily’s safety, as well as the teams. Period. He needs to put his big boy pants on and stop throwing a tantrum.

Every member of the team understands the need for information security, particularly in a situation where a person's life is in grave danger and the location and identity must be kept secret. Nobody should know who doesn't need to know. It's basic security. They all know it. However, it's easy to understand the concept and entirely different when those security decisions affect you. Every one of them naturally thought, at least at first, that they should've been the exception, that they needed to know. And they were all wrong. Honestly, the hardest part of this plotline was knowing that Hodge and JJ knew all along. They knew Emily was alive and yet they couldn't tell anyone about it. They had to watch their friends grieve and had to fake their own grief. And they had to know that eventually Emily would resurface and their friends would feel betrayed ... and they were right. Most of them wrongfully felt betrayed to some degree.

Everyone knew Spencer was mad ... specifically at JJ and Prentiss ... but he just didn't know HOW to release it. We can disagree on HOW JJ did it ... but hell, there wasn't a "right" way for it to happen, and YES, THE TEAM NEEDED SPENCER TO RELEASE IT. JJ knew that she HAD to lie to Spencer to protect Spencer cuz the BAU WAS Prentiss' family after he got her people from Interpol on American soil ... so there NEVER was gonna be an easy out for this.

I hate how they handled it…Reid had every right to be mad…and emilys spreech at the Plane was…shit! Why is there a difference if you are sad about one friend or six friends? thdy lied to him for 10 weeks! He cried about her death…and now they think, a half hearted i‘m sorry from JJ can fix it? Nope! and i wished he didn‘t showed up at the end of the Episode…they should at least let him 10 weeks be mad…😢😢😢😢😅😅😅😅😅 And what JJ said about his skills…was a really petty low blow!!!

Off topic ik but, was Rossi supposed to be cooking a Carbonara at the end? If he really wanted to make the original Italian recipe he should have known it's not made with pancetta but with guanciale and not parmesan but with pecorino. If you want to correct other people on how they cook at least do it the right way Rossi! 🤔😂

"We determine who we are by what we do, I believe that's what makes us HUMAN!" Katia Van Dees ('portrayed by Hannah Ware/Hitman; Agent #47') This episode of season 7 really pissed me off personally because Emily and JJ thought things can go back to the ways things are... WRONG! Me personally I would do more than give them the cold shouder I would pretend that I don't know them and when JJ made the assumption about Reid's profiling skills; BAD MOVE Reid's emotional reason explained it all although I would've have Reid show more emotion and maybe shed a tear because I felt his pain in that episode but again that's my honest opnion but I know he could never stay mad at them both but Emily should know she had friends and family there in D.C. she should never forget that and always should treasure the people that's in her life.

What is interesting is they are flapping around Reid, not for him but to assuage their own guilt. It’s interesting to watch and well written. The key thing is, someone with Reid’s mindset would never have gone to the cookery thing. He’d have shut them out for much much longer.

I’m gonna be so real, it’s their job. regardless of them hiding it for however long or whatever a persons back story is. If it’s apart of their job description, being upset longer wouldn’t make sense for a bau type show. Maybe it’s because I am in the criminal justice/criminology world to understand that Reid was acting like a child. Y’all are just looking at it as your fav character being wronged.

It was a lesser evil to protect her n the team (real emotions of their loss n love shielded her n them) higher diff clearance of a former umbrella she thought wouldn’t come ..in the end of their emotions were real it (Reid & all) shows them & her how much they sincerely needed each other as a team n how would they survive if she truly didn’t survive
@snafumaniac5860
@snafumaniac5860 4 ай бұрын
For everyone saying Emily's argument was bull "I mourned the loss of six." Yeah she wasn't talking about the BAU. She was talking about the team she investigated Doyle with. Every single person she spent years with, worked with. Everyone but one, that british dude can't remember his name. All of them were brutally murdered by Doyle for revenge and she had to watch helplessly till she snapped and went after him by herself which shows that she wasn't thinking straight. And yes Reid did have a right to feel his feelings but Emily really did have no choice at the possible risk that Doyle might come after the BAU too. It couldn't have been easy for JJ either having to watch her best friend suffer and not being able to do anything because this is in fact the life of an FBI agent when they're in witness protection. They can't have any contact with anyone lest they encite the possibility of costing their loved ones their lives. Remember what happened with Hailey? And what could've happened to Jack had he not hidden himself in the trunk? That was also a possibility that could've happened if Emily hadn't maintained radio silence at all times so I understand all perspectives on this matter which is what I think Reid understood as well at the end of the day because he knows all the agents that worked with Emily were dead and she couldn't even bury their bodies like they did with her she just had to watch and then run so she wouldn't be connected to them and end up Doyle's next victim.

The moment JJ loses the argument is when she decides to be incredibly callous instead of understanding. Because while they did do what they needed to, Reid and the rest were still betrayed by it. They were still being used as well. Was it a necessary evil? One could argue, but mostly yes. However, that still doesn't change that it was all lies. JJ couldn't handle being the bad guy, which is something she absolutely should've been prepared to be when dealing in a deception like this. Instead, she acted like a cheerleader who couldn't handle being put down by the nerd, so She lashed out. Reid was being passive-aggressive as hell, which he was well within his right to be, and JJ made it a pissing contest.
