For 1.3 do we have to link it to the brief or is that only for 1.1 and 1.2? Do we have to link to the brief in every question or not? Also how many crimes should we analyse in 1.1?

Hi, link the brief in to as many as you can where an easy and obvious reference can be made. It doesn't have to be much, a sentence will often be enough. Your questions will specify how many crimes to talk about for 1.1 and 1.2 :)

Are we supposed to write about both positive and negative effects for each consequence?
@IThinkThereforeITeach Жыл бұрын
You do not have to do positive and negative for each one but if you can that helps to develop your answers. Some of the consequences are clearly positive e.g legal change whereas others are more negative like ripple effect. Yet both of these can be approached from the opposite angle too :)

Hey so im retaking Criminology this year, i struggle with the time, as its only a few marks you dont get that much time. I tent to have a habit on writing too much, giving too much detail and loosing time so i dont finish. Any advice for this?

hey darling, id suggest timing your work whilst you revise or practise writing!
@IThinkThereforeITeach Жыл бұрын
This a common problem. Your Controlled Assessment is out of 100 marks and you have 480 minutes to achieve this so roughly 4.8minutes per mark. You must keep an eye on the timing and cover all areas of each section, even if briefly, then go back and add mode detail if you have time. You get more marks for breadth than depth. Depth is the final few marks but covering all the key elements of each assessment criteria is crucial. Good luck and I hope it all goes really well :)

how does the assessment work for this subject
@IThinkThereforeITeach Жыл бұрын
There are two Controlled Assessments (8 hours each) in which students can take their notes in with them (Unit One and Unit Three). There are also two exams with no notes (Unit Two and Unit Four). Hope this helps :)

do we need to write about all 8 of these?
@IThinkThereforeITeach2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately yes. You need to explain all 8 briefly as it is only worth 4 marks. So a brief overview and link to an example would be enough :)

@amna50424 I would say so...what sort of example were you thinking?
