H1B is for Cheap Tech Labor-pure and simple. I'ver worked in Silicon Valley and my floor was made up of 60% Indian. My manager was Indian-his manager was Indian. I've had salary discussions with Indian Engineers and their definitely being under paid. Some of them are pretty sharp, but most were NOT highly skilled at all. They weren't doing anything spectacular. Therefore an American could've had that seat. The wealthy are just gaming the system to extend their profit margins. Ya can't fools us all--just the slow horses.
