'Cringeworthy': Former Speaker of the House slams PM over Cheng Lei being blocked

Former Speaker of the House Bronwyn Bishop blasts Anthony Albanese for a "pathetic performance" after he was not made aware of Sky News journalist Cheng Lei being blocked by Chinese officials at a state lunch for Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
"I describe it as cringeworthy," Ms Bishop told Sky News Host Danica De Giorgio.
"I was, as an Australian, embarrassed by the Prime Minister of my country and his behaviour."
"That pathetic performance about not having been made aware of it … I mean, the man is just not up to the job.
"I said it again and again for 20 years plus in that chamber with that man, nobody ever said he was a leader."
