That melody from 2:49 is something amazing. It takes the track to a whole other level. Melancholic, yet somewhere uplifting and ecstatic, really nice.

I go through a lot of videos regarding synths, eurorack modules tutorials/performances, music in general. I tend to keep running into your video performances one way or another and I'm always set in a peaceful and inspired mood.

This is absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much for uploading this modular ambient beauty... it's definitely one of my all-time favorites! Is it possible to buy this track? (as high-res/.flac too?) Thank you again!

thank you! unfortunately, this was from a time when i only would record the audio with the video and have since lost these master files. it only exists in this form.

just beatiful. now i need some modules from Mutable Instruments! PD: did u use the sounds from the electribe? or just as a controller? is there any advantage vs the beatstep pro in a modular context?
@rbeny8 жыл бұрын
I only used the Electribe as a controller here. I like the Electribe over the BSP because I can have 4 melodic parts (or up to 4 voice polyphony) using Mutable Instruments Yarns and 12 drum parts with the Ladik MIDI to Gate module. It works out perfectly since the Electribe has 16 MIDI parts.
@nickhaisch42777 жыл бұрын
I've been looking for a controller/sequencer like this since I started my eurorack. Just found the electribe yesterday and I'm stoked to hear it works for this. BSP is now on the chopping block!
@girlinagale7 жыл бұрын
I'd like a Beatstep Pro but the mono sequences put me off. I have never gone towards an Electribe, I do not like the synth voices of those Korg boxes but I see a lot of use as a complex sequencer.

So I am completely new to this but how is the midi sequenced....do you take it form a computer to cv input on the various modules or do you use something else. Its quiet complex sequencing so was wondering ...?
@rbeny8 жыл бұрын
the electribe provides the midi sequence. on this video i used a vermona qmi2 midi to cv module.

Amazing ! Could you explain how to achieve this lovely modulation ?
@rbeny8 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I assume you are talking about the pitch modulation on Rings? Mostly an LFO from Make Noise Function on frequency. Lots of attenuation.

Great work !! How do you get this Boardsofcanada "tremolo" on the fisrt melody ? Clouds ? Cheers !
@rbeny7 жыл бұрын
I think so? The tremolo is a happy accident and I haven't been able to recreate it
@antoineallain13017 жыл бұрын
I confirm, really happy accident.
@tristan_mcdonald7 жыл бұрын
You can get the effect by assigning a slow LFO to slightly affect oscillator pitch.
