Gold Hill Mesa is right near where I grew up we used to ride our dirt bikes there, it was the ore processing mill from the trains that used to deliver the ore down from Cripple Creek/Victor mines using cyanide process.

If anything like the 'paydirt' that we used to get as a kid, it likely was around £2 ($3) and was nothing more than a gimmick/souvenir.
@dbeatty2 ай бұрын
So, Gold Hill Mesa is a place in Colorado Springs where the Golden Cycle Mill processed Cripple Creek gold brought down by train from Cripple Creek. The really rich Cripple Creek folks lived down in the Springs and they processed a lot of Cripple Creek gold down there.The mill closed in 1949. Today, there are houses on top of the old mill site and tailings (stupid if you ask me). So I don't think this came from a gift shop in Cripple Creek but rather from Colorado Springs prior to 1949. It has always been called Gold Hill Mesa even before there were houses there. There is no modern gift shop associated with it. There may have been one prior to 1949, but I don't know. Or, it could have been sold in nearby Old Colorado City gift shops - just a mile or so away. But this could not be a modern bag unless someone just walked onto the property on their own and made a bag of dirt as a joke which I think is unlikely given the packaging - - we used to be able to kind of wander around on the hill when I was a kid (probably illegally) before they started redeveloping it.

Suggestion: do honesty reviews by using a new decoy, a decoy that you always use and your own name as maybe the shadier side of paydirt vendors talk to eachother. Maybe thats too much caution but an idea Anyway, love all your videos!
