A lot of great Qbs who are now hall of famers did really well because they had the opportunity to sit behind a QB and learn and develop into that elite Qb. Brady was back , Rodgers was back up for Farve, Kurt Warner, and they were all back up Qbs. Sam Darnold was rushed into being a starter with the Jets and Panthers after been a back in niners really helped him back. But I am glad that his here with us. SKOL!

Really? It's proven science that the Vikings will ALWAYS fail when it matters most. The Vikings have had great teams before, but will fail. Don't let the early success fool you. We have over 60 years of proof. The vikings failing is both measurable and repeatable. You can put money on this! The best you can hope for is beating the packers twice a year; This is your "super bowl". Beating the packers is the only thing that should matter to you, because the Vikings are NOT winning a super bowl. Sorry.

SAS - he was there at the Panthers, especially in 2022, and went 8-9 in his two seasons there compared to 5-28 for everyone else - including Baker. YOU just weren't watching, because YOU decided who he was based on his start at the Jets. He wasn't hiding, you stopped watching. In 2022 he threw 77% of his passes on target, but because of his team, WRs etc the completion rate was 58%. Kirk Cousins made 76.5% throws on target in 2022 in went 13-4. Sam was always throwing it well enough, but he couldn't pass protect, get open and catch it as well.
@JimMork-r9uАй бұрын
He was master of the toe drag and fall out of bounds. I don't know his TD stats, but it probably is amazing.. Paris should have had mixed feelings. The REAL Vikings navigated longboats up rivers to storm Paris in the Viking Age.

As a football fan we know the chances of going to a Super Bowl with a rookie QB is slim to none but a veteran QB playing at a high level can absolutely get you there. A quarterback cannot be very good without high quality receivers. In 2020 when Darnold really went down hill his top receivers were Crowder, Perriman & Berrios. Decent receivers but nobody who has to be double teamed. His RB was 37 year old Frank Gore in his last year.
