It is too big. TNBA had it right: Batman, Batgirl, Robin & ONE former Robin in Nightwing. I’m fine with Batman inspiring other vigilantes & them existing in Gotham, but none should work with him, directly, except for Batgirl & Robin. I’m fine with Nightwing, Batgirl & Robin casually working alongside the other vigilantes but never sharing secret identities, etc.

All further support this as fact, without Batman, the world would go to ruin. So Batman Haters out there, their claim that Batman makes everything worse’s just by existing’s always flawed. Heck, without Batman, there would be no Robin/Nightwing, no Robin means no Teen Titans, no Teen Titans means that Raven has no home to fight for and Trigon rules the universe and/or the multiverse if he wants.

Barbara got her legs back because she's the most recognizable Batgirl, far more than Cass or Steph. Alfred is dead because it made headlines and Didio encouraged King, and likely Tynion to stay the course. Zdarsky wanted to revive Alfred, but editorial said no.

@CRISIS_COMICS two words: Character assassination. The entire Bat-family was victim to it, and it was so bad that people started saying, "Perhaps I was too harsh on you." On Damian, when he sided with the bat while everyone else pretty much betrayed him, even Grayson, you know, his first son and one of his most loyal teammates. This left such a bad taste in readers' mouths that the entire run suffered from it

@@CRISIS_COMICS I’m not sure how you feel about it, but I think it could be a great move as long as they don’t go overboard with it. I seem to remember the 70’s-80’s Batman being a nice blend of seriousness & mysteriousness without being depicted at times as hopelessly arrogant. it seems like a much more modern move to really commit to the dark, brooding, and rather moody Batman. Still cool and we got some great things from it, but Batman can still be Batman without the utter darkness imo
