Who is the SNEAKIEST in all of Gaming? | Arkham VS Metal Gear Solid VS Assassin's Creed

In today's video, I'll be comparing the stealth abilities of Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid, Batman from the Arkham video game series, and Ezio from Assassin's Creed. Looking at the foes they've avoided, situations they've escaped, and overall skill levels; to determine who is the greatest stealth master in all of gaming.

Batman: Arkham is a series of action-adventure video games based on the DC Comics character Batman, developed by Rocksteady Studios and WB Games Montréal, and published originally by Eidos Interactive and currently by Warner Bros. Games. The franchise consists of four main installments and an upcoming spin-off, along with four smaller titles for mobile devices, a virtual reality game, tie-in comic books, and an animated film. The continuity established by the games is often referred to as the Arkhamverse.
The main games in the Batman: Arkham series have been met with commercial success and critical acclaim, with praise for their narratives, voice acting, world design, graphics, and gameplay. The games have collectively sold more than 30 million copies.
Metal Gear (Japanese: メタルギア, Hepburn: Metaru Gia) is a franchise of stealth games created by Hideo Kojima. Developed and published by Konami, the first game, Metal Gear, was released in 1987 for MSX home computers. The player often takes control of a special forces operative (usually Solid Snake or Big Boss), who is assigned the task of finding the titular superweapon, "Metal Gear", a bipedal walking tank with the ability to launch nuclear weapons.
Several sequels have been released for multiple consoles, which have expanded the original game's plot, adding characters opposing and supporting Snake, while several prequels have explored the origins of Metal Gear and recurring characters. The third game in the series, Metal Gear Solid for the PlayStation, marked a transition to 3D graphics and gained the series international fame. It was ported two years later by Microsoft Game Studios to Windows, marking the franchise's debut on the platform.
Individual installments have been critically and commercially acclaimed, as well as receiving several awards. The series has sold 60 million units as of June 2023.

Notable traits of the series include cinematic cutscenes, intricate storylines, offbeat and fourth-wall humor, and exploration of cyberpunk, dystopian, political and philosophical themes, as well as references to Hollywood films. The franchise has also been adapted into other media, such as comics, novels, and drama CDs. Solid Snake has also gone on to appear in other games, such as the Super Smash Bros. series, Ape Escape 3, and LittleBigPlanet.
Assassin's Creed is an open-world, action-adventure, and stealth game franchise published by Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio Ubisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and its more advanced derivatives. Created by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, the Assassin's Creed video game series depicts a fictional millennia-old struggle between the Order of Assassins, who fight for peace and free will, and the Knights Templar, who desire peace through order and control. The series features historical fiction, science fiction, and fictional characters intertwined with real-world historical events and historical figures. In most games, players control a historical Assassin while also playing as an Assassin Initiate or someone caught in the Assassin-Templar conflict in the present-day framing story. Considered a spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia series, Assassin's Creed took inspiration from the novel Alamut by the Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol, based on the historical Hashashin sect of the medieval Middle East.
The first Assassin's Creed was released in 2007, and it has featured thirteen main games in total, the most recent being Assassin's Creed Mirage in 2023. Main games in the Assassin's Creed series are set in an open world and played from the third-person view. Gameplay revolves around combat, stealth, and exploration, including the use of parkour to navigate the environment. The games feature both main and side missions, and some titles also include competitive and cooperative multiplayer game modes.
There are three overarching story arcs in the series. The first five main games follow Desmond Miles, a descendant of several important Assassins throughout history, who uses a machine called the Animus to relive his ancestors' memories and find powerful artifacts called Pieces of Eden while also attempting to prevent a catastrophic event, referencing the 2012 phenomenon, said to wipe out humanity by the end of 2012.

No cameras, no drones, no night vision, no IR senors, No motion trackers, hell i don't even remember him going up against a dam dog. ​​@@Zoomyii Let me bud in real quick, REAL TALK, Canon Grinch is actually more underestimated then one would think: If we go with Stealth, he can snatch things from one's dreams many times which is just impossible, plus able to freely read minds from animals like Max and other surprisingly complex minds like the Cat, mostly spoiling conventional sneaking *(although I recall that Snake has countered Telepathy before, but still, the things Grinch does are just all the more tooney).* It's not just power in general as well *(most would point out the whole "Grinch is powerful enough to lift sheer tons off a cliff" sure, but he is also debately stronger then the Cat, who casually survived the destruction of his own vehicle to the point he was left nothing but the wheel, Cat's car is strong enough to take hits from the Grinch's whom recklessly destroyed a wide wall)* but Grinch is fast AF too and I am not even referring to the whole "Stealing all of Whovilles presents in one night" feat, as Grinch scales to the Cat who eventually managed to detect + move out of colorful beams when they first fought. Snake is absolutely ridiculous by the time of MGS 1 and 2, MGS opens up with Snake basically being kidnapped out of retirement and briefed on the mission infiltrate Shadow Moses, rescue the DARPA Chief: Donald Anderson, and defeat the special forces unit FOXHOUND. His former unit. MG2 takes place in 1999, in canon he retires until the events of MGS in 2005. The man was retired for 6 years, came back and mollywomped every one of the current "elites"

As stealth games, movies, and just stories in general, his series is trash, has always been trash, and has been in the trash where it belongs for literal years at this point along with Hideous Kojima's reputation. Ha ha ha. Death Stranding's endless delivery quest. Ironically, the only major 'stealth game' icon still around is the one whose series remained the most true to the ideals of the stealth genre, Agent 47. The one you didn't see coming. The one hiding in plain sight, lying in wait for as long as needed for the kill and the one most liable to make it look like an accident. It’s got to be snake without a question. Batman is pretty stealthy, but he has the added advantage that people don’t know he’s there in the first place most of the time. Same thing with Altair and most of the assassins. Remaining stealthy in an active combat situation on a battlefield is pretty freaking hard. Especially considering that most of the time his enemies know he’s there somewhere and are actively looking for him, and he still maintains the element of surprise.

I think the only thing I wanted to here was how the milita had more tech that would counter batman like the suits they'd wear to be invisible to batmans detective mode and how they use a detective mode tracker to find him, batman couldn't rely on his detective mode often untill he took out the guy, batman also had to aviod drones, sentry guns, big dudes with mini guns. I almost forgot he was able to aviod a giant fear hallucination scarecrow who I think might have more situational awareness in feargas but he was still able to aviod him. And batman was able to stealth in his batmobile which I think is pretty impressive because of big his batmobile is he was able to take out multiple giant tanks and even the arkham knight in his own tank.

TYGER were honestly probably more of a threat than the Militia. The militia were told how to counter batman, advised where to shoot him, but they were just regular guys in the end. TYGER were soldiers that were trained to not feel fear, one of Batman's biggest tools (pretty sure in game they can never be terrified). Snake fights soldiers on the level of TYGER pretty often too, whereas they're usually the final group of enemies for Batman.

First off, love the videos and content you make, they are so addicting to watch time and time again, I do have a request for a versus matchup but I don't know if the two franchises I'm about to mention you have the high quality knowledge as you do in DC or Metal Gear Solid. I'll request anyway as I think it'd be interesting to look at, that would be Homelander from Season 3 of The Boys against Tai Lung from the first Kung Fu Panda movie. Both seem pretty similar in terms of tiers, as Homelander is City Block level and Tai Lung is Large Building level, so I think it'd be really interesting how these two would pair up against each other. The stealthiest characters that come to my mind are ForgetMeNot: A mutant whose presence completely vanishes from memory whenever he is not directly in the line of someone's sight. The other would be Gremmy from Bleach, he possesses a power that allows him to vanish first from a person's memory then from existence, and then willingly reform himself to attack his opponent. Notably, damage he does to opponents tend to remain even if his existence has vanished.

Sneaking into the White House while off and on engaging in shoot outs < sensing people through walls and infiltrating/exfiltrating multiple castles with royalty inside; all while being unseen.

It's Snake. There is no way to compare. Batman and Ezio are sneaky, and stealthy, but they go against very earthly beings. Where Snake literally faces the supernatural, and if you play him correctly, he becomes The Supernatural. Ezio blends into a crowd, and Batman stands in shadow, but Snake can become dirt, and grass. As if the earth itself rises to swallow his enemies whole.

The one who is the most versatile and Is prepared to fight the dirtiest and outsmart his opponents. That immediately takes out Connor, Altair, Bayek, Evie and Jacob of the equation. Arno is a very good contender given his stealth and gadgets Shay is also really good given he can counter a lot of assassin attacks and hunt them down ( also he has a damn grenade launcher ) Ezio is extremely talented and has many feats so he is a safe bet. Edward has extremely too many feats if we take the forgotten temple and the books into consideratio. He is extremely stealthy, not so much as Arno but a whole lot. He is extremely smart , not as Altair but a lot He is very good in combat, not as much as ezio but very much He is very talented and we'll rounded. He is the jack of all trades while also being the best shooter and tactical commander so his battle iq is on par with at least ezio. Taking everything in consideration he is the most versatile out of everyone and with the right circumstances he has the best CHANCE of winning. If that battle royal happened 100 times I'm pretty damn sure he would have the most wins in the list followed by ezio and then Arno and shay together

Nice analysis, but personally I would think it would have been neat to include guys like Adam Jensen (infiltrates illuminati buildings) and Agent 47 (infiltrates the damn white house with no gadgets) Personally I think the best in terms of stealth is Corvo Attano... Dude is able to outmaneuver literal wizards and demons and is capable of doing that without even using magic, because the game lets you totally free to play as a "normal" human being

Fair enough. Ezio is just not set to a higher standard due to the time period he was in. He would have to surpass the League of Assassins and whatever Snake has to go against in order for him to be held at a higher regard. Good video. Hmm… if I had to pick who is the sneakiest game character, I’d pick… damn this is tough… I dunno, Agent 47 (depending on who plays) is probably, imo, the stealthiest. Hiding in plain sight, he knows how to do virtually everything, from professionally playing the drums, to understanding how advanced factory machinery works, he can be anywhere, anyone, and no one will ever even think that it’s strange.

bats has entirely hidden his heartbeat and breathing from superman on multiple occasions (superman who can not only hear every single heartbeat on earth, but distinguishes those heartbeats on a person to person level) off the top of my head, “the day the earth stood still” is one of those comics where he hides his presence. if i’m not mistaken he uses an advanced form of active noise control, taken to an insane degree. he’s been trained by literal magicians and if i remember correctly, he learned the majority of his disappearing acts from zatanas father. combined with the fact that he’s usually shown to have some sort of an x-ray like vision (example, detective vision in the arkham series”) there’s virtually nothing ezio could do that bats hasn’t done tenfold. now i don’t know much about snake but if he’s comparable to people like deathstroke, ras al ghoul, or jason todd’s red hood (arkham knight) then snake really doesn’t have anything batman hasn’t seen before

@@ajestoncommand1122 yessir! the issue with comics is that there’s so many iterations of the character that unless you’re talking about a specific universe, most characters have so many insanely complex feats, it’s hard to keep track of. there’s one universe where he created a satellite called “brother eye” which orbits earth for the sole reason of keeping track of super powered beings (which eventually went rogue and started turning people into cyborgs called the OMACS to takeover earth and eventually another planet called Apokolips).

I feel like Batman isn't extremely stealthy, but much more observant. He is the worlds greatest detective, which builds on his perception and observation skills. He knows where a blindspot is, where people are going to patrol, where they are going to run to or from. He just knows by studying, so he doesn't have to be stealthy like Solid Snake. Batman also has better technology than most of the villians in Gotham, where Snake is usually on par technology wise with his surroundings.

Harley Quinn getting the drop on Batman makes sense. He acts based on his intelligence. Harley Quinn is so crazy she literally sees the world differently than it is. The most extreme example was The Joker holding a bomb in front of her. Harley Quinn literally thought this was a wedding ring. This was the realization Harley Quinn makes much later that The Joker is in love with Batman.

Snake doesn't have as much stealthy mobility as Bats and struggles against larger threats without assistance and struggles against higher mobility foes. Bats has fought literal giants and master assassins, whereas Snake has a hard time beating a half lucid Liquid possessed Ocelot while exhausted and half burnt, meanwhile Arkham bats just sort of walks off stuff like that pretty quickly considering how many fear toxin doses it finally took for the Joker to be set free and that was on purpose. Plus, Batman can non-lethally takedown squads of goons in less than 5 seconds while Snake needs to kill one dude at a time. Granted, I have never played a metal gear game, but I have seen a lot of metal gear stuff, and I've never seen Snake utilize things like higher vantage points and double takedowns meanwhile batman eliminate rooms of thugs in seconds once given adequate setup considering he can freeze mine 1 enemy, explosive gel at minimum 1 enemy with more being possible, and takedown 5 guys himself, in the span of 5-10 seconds.

@@Battle-Brother-Ixaris I just wanted preface this first, I am a fan of Batman but Solid Snake really does take it. They have comparable speed. Both being able to dodge bullets at close range and for "Trouble taking on larger opponents by himself" he has fought way bigger opponents than Batman has (Name any metal gear) and for fighting multiple opponents while he doesn't have a "Dual takedown" he doesn't lose hand to hand fights and has a chain takedown which can be literally any number of enemies as long as he catches them off guard... I'm totally down to keep discussing this I hope I don't come off like an asshole

Not trying to be that guy, but you also forgot Batman snuck up on the Arkham Knight multiple times who was trained by Batman, so he knew pretty much ALL of Batman’s tactics. and on top of that had military training and extreme high tech. Batman’s also able to piece together crime scenes like ezio. But great video man I didn’t know much about Solid Snake so it was cool to learn about him and be compared to some of my favorite gaming characters

You did forget a few super notably feats of Arkham Batman, with one in particular showing his extreme awareness. There's a scene in the Shadow War DLC missions in Arkham Knight where two knives are thrown at Batman FROM BEHIND, and he tilts his head just enough to the left, and then the right to dodge them, and he does so like it is nothing.
