Great Tips: I cook the Bone in Skin on Thighs, with the Skin Side down FIRST at 360F for 15 minutes (room "temperaturish" Thighs so check the TEMP when cooked 165F is ideal ), then all the juices stay in the Meat because of the skin and flip over and crisp the skin at 400F. I stick a silicon Basting Brush in the juices in the Fryer pot and Baste the Skin, add additional seasoning to the skin if necessary and cook for 5+ minutes until crisp as desired.

This is a good recipe. I made some changes. Firstly I doubled the spices then I put the chicken in a large bowl and coated the pieces with olive oil. I then mixed in the spice mixture.

That's all good. That's not altering the recipe by not using chicken but using beef. Ha ha people get so upset if they think they're screwing up because they put their own choices in. And every recipe is just a beginning point it's not an end. So have fun. I'm doing them right now with a lot of my Trader Joe's spices so it should be pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to nibbling on them

I agree about the 180 degs. Bone in thighs are better cooked to 180 deg F. If you pull them at 165 the meat by bone will not be cooked, it should pull away from the bone. Thighs are very hard to over cook and will still be juicy and tender at 180.

Is it still juicy the shot of the skin on bone in looked kinda dry. I’m gonna give it a shot, I have always bbq’d chicken thighs and they come out so juicy. I used to always use chicken breast but they are so hard to keep juicy unless you cut them in half and get them as thin as you can.

I just learned through another video then googled that you are to Never Use Nonstick Spray Cooking sprays can damage nonstick pans' coating, and cooking sprays on an air fryer is no different. Spraying the basket in the air fryer with nonstick spray can damage the air fryer's nonstick coating and can make the pan unsafe for use. I assume that laying the food coated with cooking spray will do the same thing as if you just sprayed into the pan. I had a hard time trying to get tacky/sticky grease that balled up and left a layer over my pan. I'm hoping I didn't completely ruin my pan.

Will they also Save me energy bill??? How expensive energy wise is cooking in a air Fryer?
@sledge19604 жыл бұрын
I had a similar curiosity and after searching the internet it would seem air frying is more cost effective than convection cooking, about 25% less cooking time and the food actually cooks better and with more flavour retained. I recently bought one and can confirm that it is much quicker, cleaner, easier and the food does taste a bit better. Cleaning up after is a breeze, everything is non-stick, 90% of the time it just needs a wipe with a soapy dish cloth or otherwise, everything is Dishwasher friendly. Hope this helps.

I'm about to give up on my air fryer since it is impossible to know how long to cook anything. Why are they are so inconsistent? If a recipe says it takes 20 minutes to cook something in an over, it doesn't take 40. It's impossible to cook food the way you want it without ENDLESS trial and error FOR EVERY FOOD YOU COOK. How much food do you want to throw out so you can occasionally (rarely) eat something that is cooked right? If the answer is "not a lot," stick with an oven.
