Welcome to our kitchen! Today, we're bringing you the ultimate recipe for authentic Medu Vada - crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Medu Vada, also known as Uzhunnu Vada, is a popular South Indian breakfast dish that's loved by all.
Ingredients:-
.500 kg Urad Dal (split black gram)
1 tsp Black Peppercorns
1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
1 small Onion, finely chopped
2-3 Green Chilies, finely chopped
1 inch Ginger, finely chopped
A few Curry Leaves, chopped
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Tips for Perfect Medu Vada:-
Ensure the batter is thick to get the perfect shape.
Use a wet cloth or plastic sheet to shape the vadas if you find it difficult to do with hands.
Fry on medium heat to cook them evenly and achieve the perfect crispiness.
