I made this last night and everyone devoured it. I had this when I visited Canada a few years ago, the takeaways in here in Scotland don't make this and I have been craving it ever since. This is the best Chinese cooking channel. A nice easy to follow recipe with no bullshirt.

Thanks for video & recipe! My favourite Chinese dish from back when I lived in Edmonton. After moving to Vancouver in 2003, it took me 10 years to find a restaurant here that had it on the menu. Sadly, they closed last year due to the pandemic from a mysterious country of origin, but now I will be able to make this on my own!

In case you see this... I know of two restaurants that offer this dish on their menu. Ladner's "Ming Court" and Tsawwassen's "Ocean Palace".

Had Ginger Beef in Calgary around 1985 - don't recall the restaurant, but it was great! I live in the Vancouver area, and nobody here (that I've found) makes it as good. Looking forward to giving this recipe a try!

Seems like this recipe is very popular in Calgary, but not so much in Vancouver. The ginger beef here is more of the Hong Kong version without the sweet and sour sauce. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks for viewing my video on Ginger Beef.
