@@b4rz4x I tried it with red potatoes and it was undercooked in the middle after 7 minutes and they were smaller than what I think is shown here what I did in the future was make a wing shape with half slices with slits in them and it was good in hind sight I can just make battered french fries in the future the batter was relly really tasty with potatoes

@@bertdog7639 potatoes? They’re actually full of vitamins and fiber. They have a bad rep because most people eat them mashed with butter and heavy cream, or fried in inflammatory oils, but when prepared correctly (baked or microwaved, and served plain) they’re pretty healthy for most of the population.

I think cause deep fried things are usually coated in something or dipped in a batter. Think of like deep fried Oreos or corn dogs. That’s what I think people consider deep fried

I’ve always said that potatoes become more delicious as the surface area to volume ratio is increased. It’s all about that crispness. That is why crinkle fries are the most delicious when cooked right

It came up in my algorithm after searching potato varieties. I can't believe it showing me number 1/100. Thank you KZbin algorithm. I'm immediately hooked on this channel and have just harvested a patch of red skinned. Our youngest 2 children are chefs and we love spuds!❤ Oh am I ever going to leave the skin on and dazzle them with my pom-pom😅😅

Potato Pom Poms 1- Peel potato’s and chop sides for a flat surface 2- put chopsticks on either side of potato and slice a quarter inch apart 3- turn potato around 90* and repeat 4- add water salt to a bowl and soak for 30 min 5 In another bowl mix flour cumin chili powder and smoked paprika and whisk together 6- plop potatoes into flour mixture and get the mixture into the cracks as good as possible 7- fry in oil for 7 minutes✨until golden brown✨ (she didn’t say what temperature 😭 )

That sounds great! I would add more seasoning, onion/garlic powder and paprika. Possibly some Lawry’s seasoned salt. But great idea.
