My stretchy fabric is like a t shirt fabric and it curls very fast. And the other fabric I have is a cotton with no stretch. Thanks

BeautyfulButterfly13 Tee shirt fabric does have a tendency for the cut edges to roll more so then a stretch fabric that has spandex in it. You can clip or pin your edges. You can even hand base them to keep them together. Just sew slow on the machine, stopping to line up edges and make adjustments. You’ll be done in no time! Good luck. Also use a ball point or stretch needle when sewing with knits.

Did you cut the fabric with the stretch going in the direction of the circumference of your head? Sound like you cut it parallel with the selvedge. That won’t stretch much.
