All Hazard said is that he doesn't think he was worse than Cristiano at pure football, so literally he said they were the same in this department, it wasn't a dig at Cristiano at all. But of course, the media and Messi fanboys who are against Cristiano manipulated the quote so it looked like Hazard made a dig. I mean this is the general, big problem of all media and public dispute today, not just in the football department, but in general: the constant creation of fake controversy and outrage for likes, engagement, and money, and because of particular agendas, based on lies, fake quotes, manipulations, exaggerations, and false interpretation. Hazard literally had Cristiano's poster on his wall - it was shown in the small Belgian documentary about young Belgian talented footballers years ago, the filmmakers were in Hazard's room at some youth academy, and he had Cristiano's from his first United days, on his wall in the background! And Hazard also praised Cristiano many times! I wish someone would finally make great, insightful interviews with these big footballers, not cutting them off, not manipulating what they say, and I guarantee we would then finally have all the facts and the truth.

So you can't tell me he was better here than lets say 2011/2012. Although I could argue he was more entertaining to watch in 2007.
