It's true every woman isn't cut out to be a mother. You have these women out here who pop out babies and are the worst parents ever but then there are women who can't have kids and yet they would be the best mothers in the world. That's why when you get into these relationships communication is important. Ask these questions cause in the long run it can affect everything. Owen and Christina never sat down and had that conversation. He found out while they were doing a surgery that she didn't want kids. They were together for 5 years on the show and not once did the conversation come about. He thought that because Meredith had kids that Christina would want kids because she's her friend.

They got married after the shooting and they were only together for a year if that. Also Owen automatically thought because Meredith had Zola that Christina would want a child eventually but never did. He loved her so much and thought they could get through it but couldn't. It was how she handled the abortion. She told Owen that she was pregnant and totally dismissed his feelings about it. She should've gotten the abortion without telling him.

well first things first that word is offensive, regardless of whether you're using it to describe a fictional character. And secondly, I wasn't happy that they wrote her that way, I wasn't happy with her decision, but that was the character Shonda wrote, some women don't want children, I personally don't agree with Abortion in the sense that Christina exercised it, but that was the Character. And furthermore Owen stood by her (albeit after Meredith yelled at him) and held her hand, and then he held it against her.

Yes ... I love Cristina and Owen and this was always an example of how love is just not enough. They loved each other so much but couldn't be together anyway. Honestly, I can't picture Cristina being there and they not being together, so in a sense and I don't like to admit that, she leaving was the best thing that could've happened to both of them (because I think the writers would screw up completely).

I actually love this scene because it contrasts and compares their characters so nicely without “ruining” them. Cristina not wanting kids is perfectly her choice. Not every woman wants or needs a child, or is suited to be a mother. Though, Owen definitely has a point in all of this, to which the baby is his too, and he always wanted to be a father. This scene is both heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time, which basically embodies the entire Crowen relationship. I really miss them 💕

For moral, civil, and financial reasons, Democrats want it to be "readily" (for a lack of better term) available and more accepted while Republicans want to illegalize it. Am I the only one who thinks she might be scared? She didn't plan this baby, but in this scene I keep thinking she might be scared of pregnancy (the hormones that might change her etc.)? She said it might be good in the future and she said that she's not a monster and would love their baby (and I believe her). I think she wasn't ready at this time and if she gets pregnant again she would think about it with owen and keep it. I believe she changed and I still have my fingers crossed for a CO-Baby

I did not like Owen in this scene and admired Cristina for being so honest and stand up straight, yet I cannot help but wonder what I would have said if the roles had been reversed. Now Owen is an ass who don't listen and respect a woman´s right to decide over her own body but if Cristina had wanted to have the baby and Owen had said no he would have been called a coldhearted asshole!

they shouldn't have agreed to a life together until death do them part if one of them wanted kids and the other didn't. owen wanted kids? that's great! cristina didn't? that's great too! but when they didn't discuss it before they got engaged or before they got married, they signed up for a life like this. neither person was at fault. owen shouldn't have been trying to persuade cristina to want kids tho. that was so wrong.

I read some new spoilers today. Owen will have big problems getting over it in this season. He will be very pissed, putting-fist-on-other-people-pissed. Will surely be heartbreaking. Maia Up She’s the one who’s gotta carry it to term, she’s the one who’s gonna be sick and out of commission and in pain for nine months, if she, as the person who was gonna have to do the real work, decided she wanted a kid of course she’d have it whether he liked it or not. But he doesn’t get to override her right to choose what to do with her own body, so regardless of what he wants, it’s up to her not him, and he gets to deal with his own emotions about it
