He's a superb director. I especially love Happy Hour, though Drive my Car is top notch too of course. Toni deserves to be better known, Until the End of the World is underwhelming, start of a Wenders period of decline, though back on much better form again now. Late Spring and Army of Shadows excellent starters. Pity he didn't pick a Mizoguchi like the wonderful Sansho the Bailiff (Miyagawa great cinematographer). Judex is very entertaining. I'm no great fan of Ford but My Darling Clementine my favourite by him.
