13:53 Lloyd complained about Peter screwing over people, and look at the backdrop. It's the one from Edison vs. Tesla, and Edison is known for screwing Tesla over.

What you said at approximately 21:50 is so true. Those questions you pose should be asked and applied to any and all creators, sadly we can't all do what we love, we most certainly do have to ask ourselves "Should I continue to do the things I love and the way I see fit, or should I give into the demand of my viewers?" Each side undoubtedly has it's fair share of pro's and cons.' Sometimes (unfortunately so) it is very easy to give into demand and compromise our morals and beliefs in order to actually make a living/something worthwhile to keep doing. It certainly isn't free to make the things that people enjoy, nor is it free if it happens to be something people dislike. Albeit it is easier to continue to do something you dislike or find tedious if you are making a living that is able to pay the bills, and make the content that is your bread and butter. (What I mean by that is if you both enjoy what you are doing, and it makes money, but find the editing of videos tedious, albeit easy... the two aforementioned pro's can easily outweigh/give one motivation to get through the tedious/"unfun" work of editing a video. Though with success such as ERB one can indeed hire others to take the (err rather some) stress/tediousness of less than fun tasks off of the shoulders of the true brain/driving force of the entertainment piece.) I am a big gamer, they are without a doubt a huge distraction, and there are undoubtedly times where I wish I could control it a bit better, but alas I fail at doing this, and while making money obviously wont put a full stop to the gaming, it would help me cut back on it, as I would indeed have extra motivation to do whatever it is I am doing. I started and failed at making my youtube channel, and I can sometimes have good deep insight on certain subjects, as long as it doesn't involve true intelligence, (I mean book SMART... I am a believer that there are many different kinds of "intelligence") I just couldn't keep up with the editing of videos, which is really time consuming, even without special effects like the tomato's being thrown at you earlier in the video. Which undoubtedly added to how much time you spent editing the video. It is difficult but not impossible to create a video alone. It doesn't matter if you go into editing/performing in your videos alone or with a team both will have it's fair share of challenges, each with it's own unique set of challenges at that. I could never name them all, it would be far too easy to miss a few of them. I really do not mind commenting on videos, but I can be a little long winded, and often my gaming addiction gets in the way.... I say there are worse addictions out there, but I am not fooling myself I know it is still an addiction... an issue. Still even without gaming, not only do I have other issues I could work on to better myself, but also I would never have time to watch every single video I come across let alone add anything meaningful to the... conversation/something that I want to comment on from the video. Sometimes it isn't even worth it, right now passions are running at an all time high with trump being in the white house at the moment, but despite me not liking him, or caring for the decisions he has made while in the white house, I am trying to steer clear of that convo as much as humanly possible. I feel both sides of his hate/love has gone a bit overboard here or there. No one is perfect. We are all only human. Either way I do hope you continue to do these kind of videos, and I hope you have already found your answer to that question you asked, which I suspect you have, as those who have few subs/views/likes but lots of videos tend to truly be in it for fun, that's not to say those who have failed channels like mine weren't originally created in an attempt to have a bit of fun/share wisdom upon others, but yea if you aren't making money doing something you like then you definitely need to consider doing something else especially if you need money. It is most certainly futile to continue to do something that clearly isn't working. Albeit you obviously can't skyrocket to youtube stardom overnight, it really does take hard work, but yea *plays broken record.* xD (Seriously it is indeed hard to justify doing something if you can't provide the necessary tools to continue to do it. I.E The bills I mentioned earlier. :$) It is without a doubt important to make money, but also keep your morals intact, sadly though that isn't always easy especially when you feel pressured to make $$ so that you can continue to do what you want. Sorry for the mini book. :x

I just wanna throw into the mix that I swear like a sailor and it often becomes a subconscious thing when I'm feeling passionate about the subject. Not really for emphasis, as much as just a comfortable reaction. I often neglect to remember the fact that frequent cursing is mostly frowned upon, and you're expected to control that impulse. I see that with NicePeters performance in this battle. He just acted off of the annoyance of being corrected when he's tired af and just as ready as EpicLloyd to be done with that particular video. Overall it's just a really entertaining rap battle, that was a great follow up to part 1, while focusing more on the creators themselves. P.S. as well as the box being a height joke, it could also be a jab at Lloyd getting on a soap box to throw insults at someone who is honestly on the exact same level as he is. Maybe

I kind of find it ironic that peter u could say 'took' dante's credit for tesla similar to how George Westinghouse did a very similar thing to tesla when tesla agreed to rip up his contract and take his name out of the invention in the real world. I wonder if this is a coincidence or not?

I think all the cursing on pete's part is just the way he speaks normally so a part of his character i'd say. I remember he mentioned in a video in nicepetertoo that he just likes cursing cause the words are there like a form of expression if I remember correctly. Anyway, great video as it gave me perspective on the meaning of the battle in some parts that I missed. Great Job! Looking forward to more content :)

Because of the cursing "Which they don't do that much in their videos" It made his verses more impact and believable. I liked it this time because of the cropped up emotions behind it. That's also why I think Pete "won" He had more fire in his rap in my opinion making me side with him.

1. I'm surprised you didn't mention that they weren't in front of the right backgrounds on Tolkien vs Martin. Maybe you didn't notice it, but I'd love to know your take on it. I assumed it was a diss to the editors because it came when he said the editors did bad work, and then he was about to point something out (he was saying "who do you think just-" until he was interrupted by Andrew). 2. Honestly I don't think they even know if they're continuing the battles, but that's just my take
@KenshiImmortalWolf8 жыл бұрын
I think like with the original it's just a separation of era. The original one ended in the battles 'ending' but then not. In this case they openly say they need a break, which may be a long break, it may be only a few months, it may be over a year, but it is a break.

The great thing about curse words is that they emphasize what you're saying. For example, "I stepped in a pile of dogshit" conveys a lot more emotion and anger than "I stepped in a pile of canine defecation" Swear words can be great to make a good line become great, to add that extra bit of power to it. But when you over-use it, it becomes a "the boy who cried wolf" situation and the words loose that power.

Great video! First, I would like to point out that the beginning of the song (the part you said was not rap) is indeed a form of rap often referred to as story telling. Examples of this done well include Eminem's song "Stan". Second, I see where you're coming from about the cursing. For the most part they're filler words, and filler anything sounds lazy. However, I think a content creator would be better off cutting out filler lines rather than filler words. Filler lines are the ones that bring you out of the battle, while filler words can be extremely useful at times. However, there is a Kanye album where he makes an artistic decision to cut out certain swear words entirely that I think might interest you. Thirdly, I'm surprised you didn't put muh focus on the tone of the battle. Maybe it had to do with them being actual people rapping (like not characters) but a lot of these lines had me and my friends going "Jesus this is getting personal" esp around the substance abuse parts. It's the first battle I felt that the lines were actually "too strong" at times. I think I should also comment on your discussion of artistic rap vs entertaining song. Imo it's a silly distinction to make, it's like saying flow vs lyrics, if you dont have some semblence of both you need some serious edits. And I feel like erb uses this idea of it needing to be a fun song to include a lot of filler lines. You even mentioned he used that excuse on some of the garbage lines in the Hillary Clinton verse. You would never hear a good rapper say something like that, it's just such an amateurish thing to say. Meanwhile trump's verse was a perfect combination a good rap and a fun song. Lastly, I think it would be easier for you to make remarks, theories, and conclusions on rap and fellow rappers if you were to explore more rap. Having erb as the majority of your rap knowledge is limiting, they arent bad but they're also not GOATs. And listening to goats will give you a better idea of what a peak verse looks like, and give you a better idea of how to break down and build up elite songs.

Hey, maybe you could chisel popular songs. I don't usually like the songs played on radio, but maybe they have a deeper meaning within them that will make me appreciate them more.

I'm talking about the amount of it, not its presence

Maybe analyse some individual rappers instead of productions, i.e. Dan Bull, Zach Sherwin, or some of epicLLOYDS and Nice Peters own songs.

As far as ERB actually being completely over, for me it doesn't feel all that up in the air. it did say SEASON finale instead of SERIES finale. So I feel like they're just going to take a long break and then come back. It would be unfortunate if they didn't, but at the end of the day it is important to do whatever is best for yourself. And taking a break will probably be very beneficial for the creative juices to start flowing again.

At the least it will be a long break at the most they're done with it
