i didnt understand the question "does the writer attempt to adress their stated point of view? what point of view? is it successful?" do they mean if the writer repeats something they said and believe in a way thats trying to change how people think? and if they worked in doing that? im so confused

the point of view of the writer---his/her assertion, ideas, belief, and among others. Any writer will surely convince his/her point of view to the readers.

Critical reading will lead to critical thinking. A critical thinker evaluates and analyzes things easily. In a nutshell, when u read critically, u will become a critica thinker. You must practice critical reading as it is one way to achieve critical thinking.
